Post here when you've successfully pre-ordered CG

I understand the international shipping is a killer. What I don't understand is people willing to spend $50-75 a month for 3rd tier figures while complaining about the cost of CG.

Take a step back, if I were a youth again and my parents asked me if I wanted 8 more figures or a Castle Grayskull - I would look at the awesome pile of core figures I have and I know my answer would be CG! Considering the billing for CG will be around the 2014 sub or after- I would easily choose CG over the likely lackluster 2014 line- and it would be cheaper too!

Can anyone go into detail as to [how/when/IF] they got a charge showing up on there account when ordering Grayskull?

I ask as Toy Guru stated it would be a $0 charge to simply check the card. Is this what is happening? Or is it just like the sub, preorder, full amount, then they keep the shipping an rest gets refunded back/drops off charage?

I...... i am not sure if I placed an order or not.
There was a blip in the matty server, as it didnt properly refresh to add the price for UPs ground. It reloaded and i entered all the info, including my cc security number. The problem is i saw it say "invalid number" before going to the confirmation invoce screen. I have 2 ccs on file as one expires next year in august, i WANTE To use the one that doesnt, but at the blip it may have changed back to my fefault cc. Things to note
1). It claimed i had the wrong csc
2) it went thru anyway
3) i received a confirmation email
4) no charge has appeared in either cc


So... Not entirely sure where instand, guess i need to keepnthat enail. The order does shownup in my matty collector history, but so has other orders that have gotten removed mysteriously

Im only going to mention this because it may become relevant and something to think about for international buyers that think that they will wait, order one from an Org member and have it shipped from someone other then Mattel.

What happens when the price doubles after day of sales on Castle Grayskull, now the asking price is $500.00. Yeah, you may only have to pay 60-70 in shipping but the grand total at that point will be higher then if you pre-ordered it through Mattel. This is probably going to be the case, and nobody at that point will have a valid reason for not getting one cheaper. Scott has already said that the day of sales on CG will be significantly higher then the pre-order.

Just something to think about for those on the fence that will definitely wish they would have got one, and thinks they will just get one from a member that ordered multiples to save on shipping.

Got excited when i saw $36 and change for shipping... but then saw it was for US residents of course LoL. Ordered one CG which warranted a $212 slow shipping fee. Fast shipping came in at $264 and change. Ah well, i'll be surprised if we get anywhere near the numbers Mattel need for this to go ahead.

There is actually a couple of direct links on Matty´s frontpage, including one in the top righthand corner that flaps down into a big picture as soon as you enter the site.
