Well yesterday I FINALLY received my September shipment and immediately did what I had planned all this time:
The tail has a total of three cut joints so there are quite a few poses he can take.
It's the repainted tail of a Hellboy figure by Mezco btw...

BTW: Still working on my BionatopsIt'a a whole lot of sculpting and sanding that needs to be done...

It looks great, but I must say that I prefer them without the tail. In my opinion, the tail makes them look more like Lizardmen than Snakemen. The Snakemen look like just that... Snake+Man, a snake head an a man's body. Adding the tail looks good, but changes the dynamic so that it looks like a lizard that has learned to walk upright.
Based on the response, most will think I'm crazy, but it's just my preference and opinion. With that said, whether he looks like a Snakeman or a Lizardman, he still looks great!

Awesome idea.
I prefer diversity in the snake men - some with tails and some without. When I look at my snake men collection, I see 2 with tails. Rattlor and Copperhead (the Royal T sculpt that 2-Bad designed). A snakeman with an extra tail here and there could represent those who were converted vs natural-born snake men (or something along those lines).
Simple but very effective.
Looks great and i seriously hope THE FOUR HORSEMEN or better MATTELs design team sees that and use it for Ocatvias tentacles and maybe for a new Snake Men character!?
