What was your first version of He-Man? (Not just for MOTUC!)

What was the first version of He-Man to ever enter your collection?

The vintage "Original" He-Man? Battle Armor? MOTUC He-Man? 200x? New Adventures? It's always fun to see what version of a character fans had first!

I was 7 when MOTU first aired, and I got all of the first 2 runs of figures except Beast Man..not sure why....and later waves were hit and miss as I didn't like a lot the toys....but out of all I had...I never got FAKER!!!!....But I do now in Classics, and I really like finally having him.

So my first He-Man was the original, then I got Battle Armor & Thunder Punch, that is all I had of and MOTU He-Man, and I only had the original Skeletor, no variants of him. Never got into NA, never even knew it existed before a few months ago...and after seeing it...don't like it, I don't like 200X. So Classics & vintage is all I had of He-Man....Right now all I have is He-Man, debating on BA, and waiting for Thunderpunch to come. Thunderpunch may replace my main He-Man on display.
    Recent.... Spirit of Grayskull
    Coming....
Wanted.... NA She-Ra, Jitsu, Perfuma, Masque, Crita & Vultak
    Considering....
Needed.... Dragstor & the new Filmation line.

Oh man, did I forget to use these [sarcasm][/sarcasm] again? Sorry....

My very first He-Man was the original which I took everywhere with me when I was a kid until I lost him in the snow one winter, only to then find him come spring time with the rubber band having deteriorated in one of his legs. During his absence, Faker became my go to He-Man who was cooler than regular He-Man on the account that he was blue and visually more appealing!
Proud supporter of the Snake Men.

Most Wanted: Slave Girl, Crita, Lizorr, Tyrantisaurus Rex, Great Black Wizard, Darius, the rest of New Adventures.
Most Wanted Filmation: Lord Masque, Ileena, Granita, General Sunder, Teela, He-Man, Skeletor, Hordak head.

I had the original He-Man back in 1982 (though I could swear it was Christmas of 1981).

The first He-Man I received was the single figure in the spring/summer. Then, later that year on birthday in the fall my folks bought me the He-Man and Battle Cat set. It was a good thing too; if I remember correctly I broke the first He-Man. I broke his arm off. I went to my father in his work shop in the garage. He looked at it and said "I'll have to get a new one."

Battle Armor He-Man was my first. To this day I still don't see why he was so popular. Was it based solely on his action feature of damaging armor?

Mine was the original he-man. I remember walking into toyrus when I was a kid w/ my parents and seeing them all on the pegs and I was just soo amazed that my dad went and grabbed a cart and filled it w/ everyone that was available including castle greyskull. The one figure I didn't get that day was merman.

Battle Armour He-Man. I never had the normal He-Man as a kid, but I believe I had BA, THunderpunch, and even Flying FIsts Golden Bra He-Man. Seem to remember BA was my favourite, but since I didnt have the normal one, the THunderpunch was my "Normal" he man because his chest harness looked the most like the normal power harness.

I have the Iron Cross 200x He-Man and none of the variants in that line (though I plan on picking up a Prince Adam in the future), and of course the Classics He-Men.

Actually I dont think I ever got any of the first or second wave characters.

My first He-Man was Battle armor He-Man. I know I ended up with the original He-Man at somepoint, but being born in 1983 it was at a later date. Most of the figures I remember receiving or buying at the store were from later waves (the Horde and after) although back when these were out it seems that figures were rereleased quite often, as I remember my mother buying me Stinkor and Evil-Lyn in a store one night before taking me to see a rerelease of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

I don't remember owning any MOTU figures as a kid since I grew up with TMNT. I didn't really get into MOTU until 2006 and I'm ashamed to admit my first figure was a Smash Blade He-Man.

My first He-man, well, first MOTU figures ever were the original He-man and Battle Cat 2-pack. My li'l bro got to keep He-Man and since I'm the older bro, I got to have Battle Cat. He outgrew MOTU, I never did!

I'm pretty sure I had the Vintage BA HM first. The mayor's son gave me a bunch of his MOTU toys later on so that's when I got Original Recipe He-Man (along with oodles of other goodies!!!).

    Cool thread!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

    Flying Fists He-Man.

I'm not sure why. I presume he was the only version of He-Man available at the time.

If I'd had a choice as a child, I probably would have chosen Battle Armour He-Man because I had Hotwheels with the same "battle damage" gimmick that I loved, so that action feature probably would have appealed to me.
