Hopefully we will get the help we need to get a Castle Grayskull off of the ground enough to get a Snake Mountain!
Now saying this if this when/does happen which version would you want?? If they said Filmation was going to be the design but if you wanted the design what would that be?
The FILMATION design is great but itīs difficult to bring it to play set dimensions. The Snake head is huge, it should be at least possible to put two figures standing in itīs mouth but the rest of the "castle" are mountains where we have no clue where the throne room should be, where the conference room was, where the dungeons are or where the labs are.
The FILMATION Fright Zone is huge as well but if seen one custom version where itīs scaled down but still pretty cool and fitting!
I'd like a Snake Mountain with character, so I chose the vintage playset.
The FILMation design is cool, but I feel it's way too generic for a playset. It's basically a rock with a snake on it. If we were to get a FILMation styled one, the inside would have to be amazing to make up for the lack of features on the outside.

Filmation! I never liked the original version and then we missed out on a 200X. I would be more excited for a decent Snake Mountain finally than I am for Grayskull.

I think the best way to make a MOTUC Snake Mountain would be to use a nice mix of the M.Y.P. and the Filmation versions.
Use the M.Y.P. more intense looking Snake Mountain as the front half for the basis of the front halfs design and then throw in some spikes around the base of the front and back for a Filmation homage. For the second side use the Filmation red crystal falls with mountain [which could even be reworked a little bit to be painted up as flowing hot lava now] an mountain with spikes around the base for the second side. [Perhaps have a rock that can slide back an forth in a shaped track for the rocks top and bottom as a secret entrance on the rock mountain side as secret entrances. As having secret entrances were both major plot points on both the M.Y.P. and Filmation Snake Mountains].
I personally think this kind of approach to making it would be the best way to make both a M.Y.P. and a Filmation Snake Mountain that would satisfy both kinds of fans.

frankly I love the hybrid they pictured of old toy elements with other toon factors mixed in that comic.

I liked the version illustrated on the Skeletor VS lex luthor set, with Vintage and MYP designs mixed together.

I'd be intrigued to see the unique play areas the 4H would come up with inside an original design for Snake Mountain that combines aspects of all versions. But I doubt it would see enough pre-order to get made. So how about a different approach? $30 - $50 dioramas of specific locations, such as the various throne rooms!
Could an artist make this playset using Kickstarter?
