Things about the board software I don't like

Maybe I am just slow (which is most likely the case)

But is there a way to reply to a thread without using quick reply??? I can't stand quick reply...ergggg

My last complaint...the search engine sucks...if you don't want to see repeat questions...you need to make the search engine more user friendly. example...I type in Hawke...NOTHING comes up about Hawke...I know there has to have been questions about her in the past. The same things happens no matter who I type in the search bar...it just does not work well.

I am scared to even start a thread because people will be sarcastic and say...search engine dude...that question has been asked a thousand times. Well...I can't figure out how to use the search engine...lol

If the search engine does work...please explain how to use it...and is there a way around quick reply that I am missing? Thanks

When you click 'reply' there is also a 'go advanced' button that will let you use an expanded reply section. There you can preview your post and stuff.

I use the advanced search feature (right under the search box) and select to search keyword title vs keyword entire post. Plus this thread http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...he-MOTUC-Index is an Index thread that can help you find threads for a particular character.

There are also many threads for more obscure character in the character support and speculation forum. I am pretty sure you can specify to only search that forum in advanced search as well.

I hear ya and I have been on some forums where that has happened to me, but not here though. If I have been redirected to an existing thread it has been done with respect by the mods.

The only subtle nuance I can think of is that pre-sale discussion about figures, designs, accessories, etc... occur in their speculation/discussion thread but post-sale the discussion typically moves to the grouped together arrival thread.

I hope that helps you navigate around a bit better, have a good one!
Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.

slackrguy covered most everything you need. In particular, the Advanced Search is needed to get forum-wide results. That's what is recommended and linked to in the Rules & Guidelines thread. It's really detailed.

I will definitely agree with this. I love He-man.org, but it is definitely a very user unfriendly site for new users in terms of the way that threads are organized and restricted with a really wonky search engine. Everything else I like.

I'd highly recommend using the Advanced Search. I find things usually very easily with that. Title searches are particularly helpful.

I think it is really lame to display Marketplace Feedback for users underneath their avatars.

    Why would that be lame?

I don't know. It just bugs me for some reason. Most people seem to have a score from 0 to 4.
It's a case of too much information. For instance, I can see that your Marketplace feedback is 17 right now - as if I care
