Yup, one cherry picker right here. I just started with MOTUC in July, so I wasn't about to take the plunge less than 1 month later.

I subbed because of Ram Man and because I believed the lies that service was going to get better. I wish I had stuck with my idea of not subbing and then juts buying the figures at a later time for whatever the secondary prices go.
Can someone PM me the US number for Matty? I want to talk to someone who might has a clue of what is going on.

I'm one of the sellouts who subbed up. I won't be subscribing in 2014 so I'll be able to join the ranks of the cherry-picking elite again if the line is still alive.
Of the monthly figs revealed thus far, I'll be selling off half of them. I'll likely have to sell them at a loss, but whatever, I knew what I was getting into.

My only sub was the mini-sub from 2009, everything since has skewed way too far in Mattel's favor without enough true convenience for the customer.

So yeah, I'm a cherry picker who's always up for cool releases like Castle Grayskull, Jitsu, Procrustus, Fighting Foe Men, and so on.

Just too many (IMO) duds to go all-in.

I don't have a sub, and I buy a few MotUC figures. I never will get a sub since I simply do not want them all.

I did order a Castle Grayskull, though.

    I'm a cherry picker.

I'm hopeful that I'll be able to buy Netossa and Octavia on "day of sales", but I've accepted that it is highly unlikely that I'll be able to buy Ram Man (since Netossa will be my first priority to put in the cart in January).

I'm extremely grateful to all the fans who did subscribe for 2013 and therefore kept the line alive!

You say there are many 'duds' next year, yet you say the Fighting Foe Men are a cool release! Wow! Do you wanna buy my set of them?
    The 12 figures I still need: 12/Spinnerella, 11/Peekablue, 10/Squeeeze, 9/Lizard Man, 8/Gwildor, 7/Filmation Clawful, 6/Imp, 5/Mermista, 4/Dylamug, 3/Tung Lashor, 2/Filmation Hordak, 1/Queen Angella.

Didn't buy the sub because I'm a MOC collector and don't have the room. More importantly I don't like every figure.

    Same here....

But why at a loss? they all except maybe the Foe Men seem to appeal to many more than bought the subs....plus, subscribers may also get the DOS boot for any extras they may want, these figures are not the Star Sisters, I may not want them, but they are decent figures....but I for one plan to keep the FFM...as well as only Netossa, Ram Man, King HM & Snake Face....sadly the rest are going bye bye....not worth me keeping....especially the 2 NA figures, I though I'd at least want the He-Man once he came, but the pony tail does it for me....sorry but He-Man doesn't have a friggin pony tail, then again, neither does MAA....I know I can put an extra older HM head on him, and I may, but at the moment....it's a pass, or rather a sell off.
    Recent....Unnamed One & Hydron
    Coming....
Wanted....Entrapa, Double Trouble, Light Hope, Filmation Hordak & Clawful
    Considering....
    Needed....Dragstor

Oh man, did I forget to use these [sarcasm][/sarcasm] again? Sorry....

For selfish reasons, I'm glad there are cherry pickers left. For instance, I don't plan on keeping Netossa. She'll be going straight to the Marketplace.

Well, I'm looking forward to the Foe Men, they're one of the reasons I subscribed.
I really don't think I'll be able to sell Netossa for face value. Or Karatti. Don't know about Fang Man and Geldor's popularity but they'll get the boot as well one way or another. I like, or love, everything else.

"Cherry picker" here! I never subbed and after all the lost packages a few months ago, I stopped buying from Matty. I still haven't found anything I missed that I want, and I'm not interested in anyting announced for 2013, but if they release a figure I want, I'll get it from anybody but matty.

Always have been and always will be a cherry picker. The simple fact is there are characters I just don't want. For example this month I could give a Stinkor's butt about Dekker or Filmation Randor. Waste of spots if you ask me. The other things as well I have not liked from Mattel that I have complained about since this line began can make a list. Nope, no sub for me EVER!!!!!

I have a feeling that Netossa, Ram Man, Fang Man, Jitsu, and Octavia will be gone in minutes (if there is any extra made).

And don't forget, there are probably always a few people who learn about the line. In fact, my friend JUST found out about it because I posted something on Facebook about being happy about Grayskull. He posted a response: "What!?!" Then he messaged me later: "Just googled... I will be poor... and have catching up to do!"
    This makes me happy!

I love it when more and more people, especially those who were fans as children, discover MOTUC. This line is so freaking awesome it sometimes surprises me that there are people out there who have yet to discover it.

As for me, been a sub holder since the start. I think the line just keeps getting better and better as the years go on. 2013 looks to be an INCREDIBLE year, and I am more excited than ever for whatever the 4H have planned. (NA Skeletor pleeeeaaassseee....)

I think I have room for about 3-6 more figs from this line. I will have Octavia, and maybe a few others. They would really have to blow my mind with some 2013 releases for me to stay on board any longer.

I would only be willing to buy more than 6 if the future reveals a Scorpia, Madame Razz, and maybe Dragstor or some awesome Filmation gem. My MOTUC interest in all but gone.

    Cherry picker for several reasons:

    1. I was a hard-core 200x collector and got burned big-time there. When MOTUC was announced, I'd lost all faith in Mattel and wasn't willing to re-collect characters I'd already bought in the 200x line.

    2. I don't have the money or space to be a completist.

    3. My main collection is DCUC. It gets my subscription money and the majority of the space in my office.

    4. Once MOTUC really proved itself to be in for the long-haul, I relented and started collecting it, but (due to the reasons listed above), I will never collect all of it. I have a master must-have list of about 50 characters that I have/will buy to consider my collection complete: core Masters, core Evil Warriors, core Horde, all of the Snakemen, and core PoP. And that's it.

When I started looking around the internet for He-Man, it was just a few months away from the announcement of the 200x line, an amazing time to stumble back into Masters. I loved 200x. The cartoon was young, but good at its core. The redesigns met the designs of my imagination for the most part. I remember going back to that very early Whiplash 2-Up image over and over again before even one new toy had been released.
I never cared for Filmation. I was a fan of the mini-comics and the commercials. The adventures my toys had were way better than the goofy cartoon.
I never cared for Snakemen, Horde, Pop, or even New Adventures. The 4H have sold me on designs for New Adventures.
And so, I am a cherry-picker. I’m not trying to replace most of my 200x figures. I’ll get Procrustus and next I’ll get Karati. I ordered a Castle Grayskull.
I gather there are quite a few niche fans, not quite like me, but niche in their own way, still interested in the line. I love all the fans and am glad that everyone is getting something from the line because I’m so thankful that I am.

Cherry picker represent! It is way too much money to invest in when I have a very select list of characters I want. My Ideal collection would be thus:
MYP styled characters: Marzo, Mer-Man, Captain Randor King Hsss, Keldor, Evil Lynn, Pravus, Two-Bad (and Tuvar and Baddok), Zodak
    All Horde members
    All Snakemen
The only Masters I would have: He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, Orko, Battle Cat, Sorceress
The only PoP characters I would have: She-Ra, Swift Wind, Bo, Arrow, Glimmer, Angella, Adora, General Sundar, Sea hawk
Evil Warriors: Triklops, Trap-Jaw, Beast-Man, Clawful, Whiplash

So yeah, a very small selection does not make it worth it to subscribe.

I ended up subbing with a friend (although he's got the subscription itself, I'm taking a few figures off his hands).

So far, the only characters I really want are Netossa and Octavia. I'm taking Fang Man as well, but I could do without him. Debating Ram-Man. There is DEFINITELY a market for Filmation and POP. I wonder about the strength of NA though, so it's probably best to include in MOTUC.

If the line continues into 2014, I'll happily sub with my buddy tmc1894 again and would suggest others do the same. It's a great way to get the characters you want and not be tied to the ones you don't.
Most-wanted MOTUC: Granita - Hunga the Harpy - Spinnerella - Melaktha - Vultak - Dylamug - Crita - Mermista Sprag, Sprocker and Spritina

Here I am, another hardcore Cherry Picker Discerning Customer, 2013 and beyond

I harshly despise the subscription business model, but I love MOTUC founding idea and most of the designs, and I am positive per-figure subscriptions would be the best way.

(BTW I have to say I quite like the FFM )

Nah, already "pre-ordered" them from someone else.

Besides, you should keep 'em cause they're really cool action figures . . . the whole point of the line.

I realize some people just want "a figure" of characters they like, but for me it's cool figure or nothing, regardless of how much I know/don't know, like/dislike the character.
