    Sea Hawk shirt fix

Anyway Couldn't wait, so I sanded his sides (lats)

Here's just the left side done so you can see the difference:

Here's a close up of the right after sanding:

Here's a He-Man next to him to compare:

OK here he is with his shirt back on, I also altered it like Count Judas did, and I trimmed the back with a "V" shape and glued the "v" closed to make if fit tighter:

MUCH better. Though honestly, I would've preferred Sea Hawk having a slimmer overall build.

It definitely helps with the bulkiness He-Bro, but does this allow him to be posed with his arms lower at his sides?

    Thanks for sharing!
I have a few ideas about how to fix mine too.
Maybe we can have everyones fixes posted in one thread?
I'll post mine here once I take some pics.

Strange, it must be the plastic vs. the paint and how it reacts to the flash. In person there's not that much difference.

You don't cut them off, you just shave around them.

(the picture of Seahawk is just the stock photo just to show where the trim is.

Ok, so here's the story. I had a Sea Hawk, and I did lot of work to fix his oversized jacket. So I had another unopened one for sale on eBay, no one bought him, so I thought, what the heck, I'll just keep him, so I opened him up and took this picture today. I don't know if all my time and effort and potentially ruining the figure was worth it. I mean look at these 2, does the fix look that much better. Can you even tell which one is the fixed one?

I'd say, the difference is noteable, but I don't think it is worth all the efford for us non-customizers.

Aww well, my SeaHawk is displayed sideways to hide his little weight problem.
Maybe Marzo as an archenemy was the biggest thing to happen to Mekaneck, but as far as Marzo was concerned...it was Tuesday.

When his arms are DOWN, he is 100% better. I think the effort is worth it for that ability.

Maybe He-Bro should join the "Design Team" over at MattyCollector, he has my vote.

Since you have an unaltered figure, perhaps you could further refine the custom? The first attempt was fairly conservative. Perhaps another pass will look better?

Yea' probable not worth the effort. If you do the back of the shirt wrong if can be all for not. I know a guy on here that destroyed his Seahawk trying to do a shirt fix.

That would be awesome, if they would take me.

I had a buyer set up for this figure, but he changed his mind, if he would have bought the 1st shirt fixed figure, then I would have tried again, but since there is no buyer, I'm just going to keep one unaltered so I can show people the difference.
(Many of my customs I make I keep one unaltered, except for Fisto, I sold my unaltered one since the price went so high, I kinda wish I had kept him.)

I do not know the technical terminology for musculature so I will just say it this way. The "lat" pare behind the last of the lumpy muscle bits should just go away. The half moon solid piece behind the detail sculpt. I feel like that would slim him and he would still have his six pack and whatever those rib muscles are called. Then it would be really thin. Those parts do stick out really far.

Ok, after fixing 3 Hydron figures, and after just fixing my Intergalactic Skeletor, I now know how far you can sand down, and have improved my shaping skills. So I went back and re-sanded Sea Hawk. I think he looks even better now:
