Power-con 2013 (anyone know; is it happening?)

I hope this is the correct forum to ask this....

Is the Power-Con going to happen next summer and if so does anyone know when the 2013 Power-Con might be tentatively scheduled? (location, too?)

I was going to make a trip on Aug 22-24, 2013. I don't want to miss the convention and definitely don't want to schedule something that conflicts with it.

No worries! There will be a Power-Con next year. Dates and locations are not set yet, but if you like them on facebook you will get all the latest up-dates when they come out.

My job just requested that I give my tentative leave schedule for 2013. I have my two week Comic Con vacation down, and the 15th of every month off for MotUC days. but have no idea what to put for September. Is it a weekend off for California, or a week off for New York? My job is such a pain sometimes, don't know how they expect me to know a year in advance.

If it was, Mattel was going to back out since they do NYCC like a week or two later. So JVS3 did an informal panel to see how interest would be impacted without them... Mattel draws a lot of people.

When did this happen? Man, I was really hoping it would be in NY next year!

I'm still going, and it definitely is better with Mattel, but it would have been nice to save a few hundred $$$...
