I would be perfectly fine with Sea Hawk, Glimmer, Castaspella, Queen Angella, and Madam Razz being the last of the Great Rebellion in MOTUC. Maybe Double Trouble as well depending if they dont make her Horde.

But man, if they stick with her Filmation incarnation, not only is it going to be a weak-sauce action figure, she's also going to be the laughing stock of modern PoP.
Very good point I fear this may happen if Matel & the 4H are not aware. I don't always trust things will be executed well in others hands if they are not aware.

    #26= - Flogg (59/100 votes)

    Last time: #24 (64/100 votes)

Here’s a triple treat of New Adventures love for you – the last of them in the countdown. Flogg’s been overdue for a good while now. The Space Mutants need their leader and they need him pronto. He’s been earmarked as one of the NA characters to watch as the focus shifts to a more fan-demanded list of characters, so expect him to arrive at your door in a glossy new white mailer box soon. Just as they’ve done with Netossa, I’d like Matty to look to the NA cartoon for the face details – Flogg had a brilliantly expressive face in the Jetlag toon and if they do him justice, I might just be persuaded to begin my NA collection.

    #26= - Hydron (59/100 votes)

    Last time: #27 (61/100 votes)

Another main player missing from the party, Hydron is seen as the leader of the Galactic Guardians (erm, Protectors) by many. Others see Darius in this role and some see Master Sebrian. Heck, you could argue that it’s actually He-Man himself! Whatever way you look at it, you can’t deny Hydron’s relevance to the later He-Man years on the planet Primus. I was never a massive fan of the character – he was a bit too straight-laced for my liking. But posing him alongside Flipshot up against Optikk and Slush Head will look mighty cool.

    #26= - Sagitar (59/100 votes)

    Last time: #35 (52/100 votes)

Sagitar’s seen his popularity rise over the three years I’ve been doing this. He was at number 42 in 2011, 35 in 2012 and 26 in 2013. People are climbing about the Sagitar Ship just as He-Man did on the Sagitar boxart! (I always found it a bit odd that he was a steed of sorts). He’s a character would could possibly reuse the Ram-Man torso, considering how much bigger he was than the other characters. I think he’d look immense alongside other MOTU and POP characters. I’ve even heard the purist of MOTU fans admit that he’s badass. Again, I’d want some cartoon influences, particularly in the face (and his visor).

    #26= - Granita (59/100 votes)

    Last time: #31 (56/100 votes)

There’s a rock-storm up ahead and Granita’s the first to land. Predictably so, as she doesn’t have the ties to the MOTU toyline, but I genuinely hope Mattel don’t abandon her in favour of her brother and his buddy, simply because she wasn’t a vintage toy. Rumours are abound that Rokkon and Stonedar are on the horizon – I personally find them a little too similar to be satisfying and I probably wouldn’t buy them if Granita was included. I worry a little because, although the trio would look great in a three-pack and it’d be a way to appease the POP fans and MOTU fans alike, there have been two three-pack debacles of late: the Fighting Foe Men and the Star Sisters (to a lesser degree). With costs rising and these characters being high on the tooling front, I pray to God that Mattel will find space for Granita to rock out with her buddies.

Most-wanted MOTUC: Granita - Hunga the Harpy - Spinnerella - Melaktha - Vultak - Dylamug - Crita - Mermista Sprag, Sprocker and Spritina

Want, will buy, want,...might buy. Oh, and Perfuma is a must. I'm for toy design myself..but please get the scent to work right...no Stinkor fiasco again please. An ACTION figure of Gwildor for the first time ever...not a bad idea.

    I'm not fussed about a Loo-Kee figure.

I wasn't that fussed about Geldor and I voted for Illumina, but despite not being that fussed about him, Geldor would have been my second choice and I'm glad he won if Illumina didn't as I had zero interest in any of the other candidates, most of which were lame variants IMO.

Dactys is my most wanted 200x figure and is also in my top 5 wanted overall figures. To be honest I hope Batros is not his son as I've never been keen on this idea.

While I'm a huge 200x fan Veena is just not that high on my list, I'd probably take her but I hope she's in 200x colours not the classic colours she had in the new POG#2 mini-comic.

I really want a Gwildor figure and actually prefer him over Orko. I think its because I had his figure as a kid and he was in the UK comics a fair bit so I have lots of good memories of him. With all the details and tools on his sculpt the 4HM could really go to town on him. Hopefully he'll come with his staff and a toy accurate Cosmic Key.

I like the idea of Perfuma as she's a magical forest woman which I think is quite Fantasy/Sword and Sorcery, but unfortunately I'm not keen on her design, low on my list on my POP list.

Flogg/Brakk is my third most wanted Mutant after Hoove and Lizzor, but I have a feeling he will be the next muntant we get and hopefully sooner rather then later.

Hydron is around the middle of my GG list, I'd definitely prefer Darius, Kayo, Vizar and Sagitar before him. As I said earlier in this thread I've never been fussed about Hydron, he's just never clicked with me, even as a kid I though who needs a scuba guy in space. Hope he comes with two heads, one without the scuba gear and has cartoon accurate hair.

Sagitar will hands down make a kick ass figure! Obviously will be a higher price like Ram Man. Again I hope he comes with two heads, one helmeted with removable visor (like Flipshot had) so we can have the option of toy or cartoon version and one unhelmeted with cartoon accurate baldness. Probably my second most wanted GG after Darius.

I not fussed about Granita at all to be honest. But if we got her I'd prefer her to be based more on the female Rock warrior from mini-comic then Filmation just so she looks more like Rokkon and Stonedar who I do really want.

I really think a Classicized Dactys will use the Buzz-Off legs as if you look at the legs they both have in the 200x cartoon they weren't that dissimilar.

I've been waiting for a Flogg release for a while now because he is thde faction head of the Space Mutants, imo. NA Skellie is in continuity but the figures are avatars of the imagination for me so I stray from what is sold to me. I recognize that approach to MOTUC is not for everybody, but it is for me.

Hydron I am not fussed about. If I get him I get him, if I don't I don't.

Sagitar will make a nice release but due to his size & features I am not sure if he'll make production.

Granita has her rock/element theme going on so she'd be a win for me.
Ask not for whom MOTUC is made, it's made for thee.

If you have to disclaimer your like, then you don't really like it.

I would like to see Sagitar but they need to make him look more horse-like. I don't think he looks enough like a steed.

Well Hydron, Flogg, and Sagitar are three of the must haves in the New Adventures cannon in my opinion. I do hope they go with the more Jetlag look on all three especially giving Sagitar his visor and making him bald. I would love to get Granita as without her i would always look at Rokkon and Stonedar as missing something.

Absolutely to Flogg, Sagitar, and Hydron (only because he is the leader of the faction, still think the humans are boring)

    #25 – Hawke (60/100 votes)

    Last time: #29 (59/100 votes)

Happy Christmas to everyone! And to celebrate the twenty-fifth day of the month, I’ll present the character in twenty-fifth place: Hawke. ‘The female Stratos’ appeared in Filmation’s Betrayal of Stratos before several background appearances in the 200X MYP series (most notably in Sky War). She’s one of the few remaining female MOTU characters and I do want her in my collection, but I’m beginning to feel that there are only a limited number of slots available for female characters and when we get a MOTU female, POP females are pushed back. It amazes me that we have variants of Evil-Lyn, Teela and the Sorceress and we’re still waiting for Glimmer, Queen Angella and Castaspella. So, yeah, I do want Hawke, but not at the expense of a POP Rebel.

Most-wanted MOTUC: Granita - Hunga the Harpy - Spinnerella - Melaktha - Vultak - Dylamug - Crita - Mermista Sprag, Sprocker and Spritina

I like Hawke but for me she could easily be done as a second head with Filmation Delora.

I'm most down with so far:

    Caz
    The Scientists of Primus
    The ABC Giants
    King Ahgo
    Drissi
    Master Sebrian
    Baddhra
    Hoove
    Spinwit
    Butthead
    Vizar
    Nocturna
    Tuvar
    Tuskador
    Artilla
    Kayo
    Staghorn
    Kittrina
    Darius
    Mara (preferrably Toga Mara)
    Goat Man
    Quakke
    Illumina
    Lizorr
    Calix
    Crita
    Flutterina
    Hunga the Harpy
    Prahvus
    Veena
    Perfuma
    Flogg
    Hydron
    Sagitar
    Granita
    Hawke (MYP version)

I think my theory was right...bystander/talking head characters seem alot less popular, given their presence so early on in this thread.

    #59 - King Taureus (17/100 votes)

    Last time: #52 (33/100 votes)

King Taureus (or Torius) is one of those characters who's nigh on impossible to find a screen grab of. So I had to do my own! He never spoke in the MYP cartoon, only had his name mentioned once and hung out in two brief background roles. However, true to form, some loyal He-Fans will buy anything Mattel lays the MOTUC logo on - but he's not the most popular character from the 200X series. Other members of the Eternian Council are still to come.
Yeah, he's a pretty elusive character to find a pic of.

Word. I'd buy her in a heartbeat! I hope that she comes with her Pokemon!

What was interesting is that early on, Drissi seemed to like He-Man while I could see Mara liking Adam.

I agree! Some characters like Sagitar, Butthead and Artilla looked way better in Jetlag than from their original toys.

Although Tuvar receives four more votes than his siamese, non-identical compadre Baddhra, I'd argue that their popularity if they were released would be quite similar. I do think they would've slotted in nicely with the variant slots - imagine if either of them had been released in place of, say, Snake Man-At-Arms or Battleground Evil-Lyn. The best we can hope for for these two now is probably a two-pack - but before Two-Bad? It'd surely be unexpected - but how well would that idea be received by the fan community? I'd guess not very well, but I'm throwing it out there for comment.
Personally, I'd say make them an SDCC exclusive two pack with tons of bounty hunter weapons. I could see these two being sold separately, to keep interest in the line high. If Tuvar and Baddhra have their MYP heads and Two-Bad has his vintage heads, fans could swap out the heads to make a more 200X looking Two-Bad.

LOL, I know right! I don't think the Nostalgia crowd is clamoring for a vintage Artilla figure. Give us the Jetlag model!

The one problem I always had with his 'gimmick' is that he rarely operated under water! Now that is an unforgivable crime, to have an underwater specialist and never operate in that theater. In fact it makes about as much sense as a guy running around with gigantic tusks where his mouth should be!
Although NA is often associated with outer space, some NA locations such as Primus and the Quagmi Swamp have water. Besides, Mattel seemed to think that He-Man needed a water character and a vehicle. We also have the Astrosub which can convert into sub mode.

The first character to fall out of the top 20 is Blast-Attak, a character whose background is the subject of much debate among the MOTU community. Is he the creation of King Hiss, as a robot warrior created by the Snake Men to fight He-Man from the minicomics or is he the ‘suicide bomber’ allied with Skeletor from the Star Comics? I’d assume he’ll be the former as the content from the Star Comics isn’t an option…yet. He could be made of parts from existing figures. I won’t be buying him.

A popular Filmation hero – in fact, he’s one of the most fan-demanded Filmation heroes – who will sadly be affected by the fact that he’ll need some work. I’m hoping they design Mantenna with a thinner buck that could be reused for Lizard Man and others like young Prince Adam and – in my wildest dreams – Admiral Scurvy. I really hope Mattel don’t cheapen out and focus solely on characters who will reuse the standard male buck because Lizard Man and other more unique-looking characters have a lot to add to the line. I’m imagining my shelf with him on now and it looks pretty awesome.

One such ‘standard male buck character’ could be General Sunder, who’s risen in popularity considerably. I expect we’ll see Sea Hawk fairly soon – and whilst I imagine he’ll look amazing, the fact that we’re firing through the male stars of the She-Ra show makes me sad about the females. General Sunder’s the next logical male after Sea Hawk and if the rumours about the Horde Troopers are true, we could have some parts for him in late 2013. Fans will be pleased because he’s an obscure character from the series – I fear my reaction will be: ‘that’s great, but when are we going to get Glimmer?’

Most-wanted MOTUC: Granita - Hunga the Harpy - Spinnerella - Melaktha - Vultak - Dylamug - Crita - Mermista Sprag, Sprocker and Spritina

Whoa oh ohhh!!! What a list! Lot of must have characters.

Flogg: I'm really looking forward to the Mutant rebellion leader. I strongly want his face to be like the cartoon. Don't like the toys face same thing can be said for the other characters from NA. Cartoon inspiration look for the MOTUC action figure design. PLEASE!

Hydron: A must have no doubt. not first on my list that I want next to be in my collection but definitely a must have. Spinwit & Darius are first & second on my list.

Sagitar: He is third on my list of NA good guys. I pray that he has his cartoon visor & look. That look suits him best.

Granita: I'm not as passionate as other people on the org. that are wanting her. I'm ok with or without her. If she does come out I hope it is a three pack. I don't want the rock people spaced out for three different monthly slots. I would not like that. 3 pack please.

Hawke!! I must have her. I envision her among the other heroic Masters. Love her colors & 200x look. I just love the goggles & feathered red hair. Its kinda steam punk-ish. She fills as another master, Strato's sister, an important spokeswoman council member representing her people & another female to the ranks of the good guys that is not a POP girl.

Blast-Attak!! Speaking of steam punk. I love this guys unique design. Love the whole package this guy comes in. The colors of gold, gray & green complement well. The gears are neat. Love his masked villain cyborg look. I prefer his Star Comics origin. He was such a psychotic bad ass that blows himself up. I like to imagine BA works for Skeletor. Skeletor gives BA as a peace offering to King Hsss just to assassinate Hsss by suicide bomb.

Lizard Man: Another must have among the heroic Masters. The Masters need another non human race to give diversity to there growing group. Love his bright blue cloths & green & white skin. I would very much like to see another buck & smaller body parts being used for other male characters that are smaller framed. This would give more uniqueness to the line. Not every male has the same body type (women too). Those parts can be reused on other characters in MOTU.

General Sunder: The guy is cool. A Horde General turning his allegiance to fight with the rebellion. I would like to have a few more males with the rebellion. Like Sea Hawk, Crimson Furry & a few others. Where is The Crimson Furry in the count down? Did I miss him?

Yeah, that is cool. She is like a fairy goddess of the woods. I love those girly colors to be honest. Funny I don't like it that much but I really feel it fits for her character.

I agree! Some characters like Sagitar, Butthead and Artilla looked way better in Jetlag than from their original toys.

I don't think the Nostalgia crowd is clamoring for a vintage Artilla figure. Give us the Jetlag model!
Agree! That would be cool to have a Badra/Tuvar two pack. I would love well sculpted heads for these guys.

Yes Matle needs to make the NA characters to be more like the cartoon. Those ugly original toys are very unappealing. I don't think I would want to buy them if they chose to go vintage toy look.

#26 - Flogg - a major want for me from the NA series. He's going to happen, almost definitely; I feel he qualifies among those few remaining 'A-listers' we're promised in the coming years.

    - Hydron - same deal in the 'A-lister' dept as Flogg, though personally, he's not really someone I'm clamoring for.

    - Sagitar - Easy pass for me.

    - Granita - there are quite a few Filmation ladies I'd like to see before her (Razz and Huntara, for instance), but I wouldn't say no to her.

#25 - Hawke - I don't really like Stratos, so guess where that leaves her?

#24 - Blast-Attak - Seeing as how I never had the original vintage, I'd really like to own the MOTUC version some day. He's not even on my radar, though.

    - Lizard Man - easy pass

    - General Sunder - Would love to have him, should be an easy character to make since most of him shares parts with the much anticipated Horde Troopers.

I am looking forward to the eventual Flogg figure, but as I've said there are other mutants I wouldn't mind getting before him. If Flogg got left out in the cold when the line finally dies, I could handle it because I feel MOTUC would just have a NA Skeletor figure at some point and that it would explain him as being the leader of the mutant faction... not have him subservient to Flogg the way he played it in the NA cartoons... so, first give me some mutant warriors like Quakke, Staghorn, etc. and if the Classics engine is still running in like 2015 or whatever, then bring on Flogg.
Hydron I sort of feel the same way lately... I would kinda like Darius, Spinwit, Tuskador, and Sagitar before Hydron. I recognize the desire for the leaders of the NA factions, but we're getting NA He-Man this year... I could be fine with him being the actual leader of the Galactic Protectors in MOTUC continuity, and not the guy in the random scuba suit... LOL.
Sagitar is a most-wanted of mine... been waiting to see how they tackle him since the line was announced. I've often imagined him as being a beast slot figure, but now that we're getting oversized figures like Ram Man in that new $30 quarterly slot, I could see them not only putting Sagitar out for $30 in 2014, but also having him reuse some Ram Man parts as well. I hope a figure is able to sit upon his back, classic-style, and that he comes with the awesome sword and shield. Maybe a MOTUC Sagitar could have a removable helmet, ala Gygor?
Granita! I've often thought she should come three-pack style with Rokkon and Stonedar... but hoo-boy was that Star Sisters pack a doozy of a missed opportunity. They really cut corners with those three gals, and instead I'm thinking I'd like individual releases for all rock folk. I want all the newly tooled bits, paint apps, and some weapons for these folks that a monthly slot can handle, and yes- I feel like Rokkon, Stonedar, AND Granita should be able to fold somehow into a proper rock form. I don't want to hear that it's too expensive/complex... y'all did it in the '80s... figure out how to make it work effectively NOW

I do indeed want Hawke, but this is that rare instance where I actually think the Filmation version trumps the 2002 one. She looks like a scag in the MYP series. Make her look good, Mattel. Make this one a Filmation figure all the way! Besides, they pretty much nailed her in the cartoon- she looks like she SHOULD have been a classic toy!

    - - - Updated - - -

If we don't get Blast Attak as a bad-ass 100% newly tooled figure that splits apart down the middle, I'magonnathrowafit!!! He's AWESOME! He's all steampunk and- so long as they don't cheap out and give him Trap-Jaw legs- could make one of the coolest-looking figures in the line... just don't make him a Snake Men (that affiliation makes ZERO sense... you can tell they just did that in the mini-comic because whoever put that comic together had no what the heck they were doing...). And DO give him that kick-ass axe!
Lizard Man. The Four Horsemen turned me into a Granamyr convert... can they do the same with Lizard Man? I've a feeling I'll find out sooner than later, as it just sort of feels like he's coming in 2013. But I've never EVER liked this character in the 'toon or wanted this guy as an action figure... so if he doesn't make it, I probably wouldn't notice.
General Sunder... I can see how he'd make a good toy... except for that cape. He-Ro, Randor, Laser-Lot, King Grayskull... they all suffer from the "our cape is too long and inflexible to do anything articulation-wise but just stand there and flap our arms about!" syndrome. I'd like him... he's kinda hot... but that whole Classics cape thing is a bit of a drag.

I like this guy, based off his STAR Comics appearance. There, Marvel didn't make him a Snake Men robot who blew up, but an Evil Warrior cyborg who could split his body in two pieces. I knew of all of the other villains who premiered during that issue, but I was totally caught off guard by Blast Attak's appearance!

Crashing into the chart next is the dizzying force that is Spinnerella. Ever since Netossa was revealed, I've desperately wanted a Spinnerella figure in MOTUC - these two go together like toast and jam (jelly for my American friends!) and due to the enormous 'street value' of the vintage Spinnerella from the POP line, I'd say she has a chance to make the cut (more so than the aforementioned Flutterina and Perfuma, I imagine). Toyguru gave us Megator and Tytus - the two most expensive figures in the MOTU line - so it'd be nice if he could find a way to squeeze POP's holy grail into MOTUC as well.
