@Danielle: some (even on these boards) actually wanted Grayskull to fail.

can't speak for the others but the reason I ended up hoping that it would fail was because I had grown tired of people saying stupid stuff like "If you don't buy Grayskull you are not a true fan" or "True fans will find the money no matter what" etc etc. So I wanted the castle to fail just so I could say "HA"

If it failed, so would our chance to get even neater future big items, ones we would have never imagined as possible back in 2008 (maybe CG will lead to a Point Dread or Snake Mountain). Don't let a few sour apples get you annoyed. This whole line is ridiculously expensive, but at the end of the day, we have a really cool line that has defied good sense and logic - overpriced figures with sometimes questionable quality control and customer service surviving in a bad economy with little promotion by Mattel.

Just been listening to all the cool suggestions for CG. I have one of my own. What about a lenticular Filmation-style portal (like Cy-Clones chest) where the bright yellow lines of the event move like in the cartoon. That would be awesome!

There are countless fans who have mentioned wanting the Dimensional Portal from Filmation (in MOTUC mini-comics though it's called Laser-Gate), and a lenticular version of it would be really nifty.

Many many things in this episode made me smile with a grin from ear to ear.
CANNOT WAIT to see what they do with this Castle!

More what Eric is suggesting. Like he said, it takes cues from the playmat, but makes it a little more dimensional. The base is there in the playset blueprints, I can imagine what he's suggesting will just be some embellishments on that base.

Really excited about that in particular, what with his talk of "easter eggs" as it were in the sculpt, like Eamon said, the rat in the corner, or skulls and such strewn about outside. LOVE IT!

I'd rather have what Eric suggested to be honest. It sounds like a really cool way to incorporate some elements of that mat to the base of the castle. Sounds awesome.

Well to be fair I started off as just mildly indifferent to the castle but that changed due to certain posts by people (the tone of them I mentioned in my last post on this thread) which after a while just made me think "Ya, well if that is how you feel then I hope the castle never gets made just to spite you" ... yes I have a very strong spiteful streak

I ordered mine, but I can understand a bit of the backlash to all the hyperbole. It was slightly over the top.
