    MOTUC's "Core" Evil Warriors

So, with this line and people getting back into collecting these past four years I find myself asking who is considered a "core character" for the Evil Warriors in MOTUC. Who do you consider the essential line up of minions for Skeletor (obviously he HAS to be in there). My line up for "core" baddies has become something like this:
    Trap-Jaw
    Tri-klops
    Clawful
    Evil-Lynn
    Mer-man
    Whiplash
    Beastman

Webstor never really stood out for me in the old series. Panthor had a small presence. Even in the MYP run he kind of faded away. Two-Bad is awesome, no doubt about that. I just think they underrated the character in the series (both of them). So yes, i guess the charter baddies are the most essential. Agree? Disagree?

    My core Evil Warriors:

    (from more to less important)

    1) Evil-Lyn
    2) Beastman
    3) TrapJaw
    4) Triklops
    5) Merman
    6) Kobra Khan (though a Snake-Man, I think that he is more important as a character than many others...)
    7) Whiplash
    8) Clawful

Webstor, Spikor, Two-Bad, Jitsu, Faker, Stinkor and Panthor would be secondary Evil Warriors

Screech, Ninjor, Scareglow, Blade, Saurod or Twistoid would come after all these.
Most needed characters before MOTUC ends...

Heroic: Extendar / Lizard Man / Eldor / Miro
Evil: Strongarm / Evilseed/ Two Bad
POP: Glimmer / Angella / Madame Razz & Broom / SeaHawk / Kowl / Lookee
    Horde: Scorpia / Imp / Modulok/ Entrapta / Vultak/ Horde Trooper
    SnakeMen: Tung Lashor / Ssqueeze
    Rock People: Granita
NA: Darius / Hydron / Flogg / Mara / Sebrian

    For me it's:

    Tri-Klops
    Trap Jaw
    Evil Lyn
    Whiplash
    Merman
    Beastman
    Clawful

Those are the main warriors IMO. But I think Panthor is to always be included with Skeletor.

I tend to just go with the main ones from the early show. Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Mer-Man. Whiplash and Clawful need not apply.

I think most would agree that the core has to include Evil-Lyn, Tri-Klops, Trap Jaw, Mer-Man and Beastman.

Clawful and Whiplash are sort of second-tier after that, followed by Webstor and Stinkor.

Others like Jitsu, Faker, etc., however cool they may be, don't fall into the core group.

In early Filmation, there was a "Council" of sorts - Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, Mer-Man, Trapjaw and Tri-Klops. That's what I tend to think of as 'the core'.

Panthor's a pet, really. Clawful, Whiplash, Webstor and Two-Bad are all important to me personally but are secondary in the grand scheme of things.

Except Clawful was Skeletor's "right hand man"

    Beastman
    Evil-Lyn
    Trap-Jaw
    Mer-Man
    Tri-Klops

Those are the first tier ones, IMO. Then the second tier ones would be Webstor, Spikor, Whiplash and Clawful. I think characters like Jitsu, Two-Bad, Faker and Stinkor are third tier characters. Also, I'm not counting Panthor. Like Battle-Cat with He-Man, IMO, he and Skeletor go hand in hand.

    Two Bad
    Jitsu

    Kobra Khan

    Don`t care about the rest

I always thought that evil warriors were much more fun than the heroes in MOTU.

My core group in order of relevance:
    Beast Man
    Mer-Man
    Clawful
    Whiplash
    Trap-Jaw

But mostly the first two. There's something magical about the original three evil warriors. Of course this is influenced by the ones I actually enjoyed most as a kid. Arguably Evil-Lyn is more essential than my last three picks, but I never cared that much about her.

    My personal favorites are:

Faker (really hoping for a Leo version in MOTUC)
    Beast Man
    Evil Lyn
    Trap Jaw
    Tri Klops
Mer Man (really hoping for a classic toy version in MOTUC)

I tend to agree with that. It's pretty much the 12 back Evil Warrior lineup, just swap Faker for Evil-Lyn.

I like to go in "seasons" and those are the first season Evil Warriors for me.
    Second season is:
    Whiplash
    Clawful
    Kobra Kahn
    Webstor

Faker is a creation of Skeletor/Tri Klops/MAA so he doesn't really fit in any single group. Ditto with Panthor. He's just kinda there.

    This.

In the early Filmation episode, "Diamond Ray of Disappearance" (I think it was) Skeletor calls his 'evil warriors' to his side. The above names are who he calls.

    I'll have to say...

    Beastman
    Evil-Lynn
    Mer-man
    Trap-Jaw
    Tri-klops

    if that ain't enough...
    Clawful
    Whiplash

But Panthor was around a lot in the old Filmation and he "almost" gets labeled as an evil warrior. Regardless, he's a staple.
    Take it easy,

Same here. The Evil Warriors have always been my favorite faction.

I kind of use their presence throughout the different incarnations as an indicator. To me, the absolute core is Skeletor and Beast Man, with Mer-Man and Evil-Lyn standing on the edge of that table, with Tri-Klops and Trap Jaw right outside of it. Next level would be the guys that seem to be hanging out in Snake Mountain somewhere, like Whiplash, Clawful, Two-Bad, Spikor and Stinkor. Faker sort of straddles the divide between them and the next level, which is the various one-off type mercenaries, outsiders and occasional allies (Ninjor, Blast Attack, Scareglow, Webstor, Kobra Khan, Karg, Goat Man, Blade, Saurod, Fang Man, Draego-Man, Icer, Marzo, Evil Seed).
MOTUC Wishlist Goatman, Dylamug, Songster, Evil Robot, Tuvar and Badra, Game Master, Grayskull Robot, Lizard Man, Karg, Prahvus, Skelcon(s), the new villains from He-Ro/Dare, Plundor

Well given Jitsu's bio i'd put him higher up in the hierarchy.
Skeletors faction has always been hard to pinpoint the chain of command as each character brings something different to the table.
