2nd Stop Motion Animation with 3D Printed Action Figures

This is my second stop motion animation using my 3D printed action figures. Ever since I started using acetone to smooth my figures I wanted to make a new one to show the nicer looking figures. I also bought new camera equipment that is less shaky allowing me to keep post processing of the pictures taken to a minimum. I did use Blu Tack on the feet to stabilize the figures and armatures for the flights, jumps and falls but other then that all you see here can actually be performed just with the joints of the figures.
    Modeling Software: MODO
    3D Printer: Stratasys Mojo
Figures were assembled and painted by hand.

Here is a picture of the actual figures with their joints. The ball joints can just pop in and out of their sockets allowing for different head expressions and hand gestures in the animation.

Wow, that was rather impressive! Nice work!

Do you have much experience with stop motion animation besides this video and the one that you made before it? I ask because overall the animation was pretty smooth. Sure, I could still tell it was stop motion, but it wasn't nearly as "choppy" as I would expect for something that someone made at home.

How long did it take you to make the video?

Thanks! I did not have any previous experience with stop motion but having done 3D animations previously helped with the movement of the figures. The shooting of the animation was done over the course of one month. Preproduction took quite a bit longer since I had to build all the figures and sets.

Here are some more figures from that series I have been working on lately. I hope to use some of them in further animations down the line.
