    custom imaginext skeletor

    I've been looking for a fun project to work on involving motu. I've painted my fair share of 28mm minis in the past and wanted to do something. last night I decided that I wanted to combine the two collections I'm working on lately. I got up this morning and took a drive to target to pick up one of their exclusive ninja imaginext pieces on the way in to work.



    I wanted the dragon before, but didn't want the ninja and didn't know what to do with it. I realized this was a perfect fit.

    I got to work and since it was such a slow day, I was able to work on this for most of the day.













    turns out it's a little harder than I thought it would be to paint a skull on a smooth object. I wasn't happy at all with how it looked, so I decided to sculpt the hood onto the head, instead of making it removable.

    I got the arms painted. I had to shave a ton off the shoulder joint so it wouldn't rub the paint off. here's the finished product...
