apparently it is for my neighbors... teadora and Alejaya... those poor kids teachers...learning curve indeed ;o)..

we also know someone who named their kid after main star wars characters.. the girls name was lea, i forget the other two...

When I was substitute teaching I came across some interesting ones. also there were many awkwardly awful spellings for things like Bob just to be unique.

Btw I did only Highschool.

I dont mind ethnic names. But I draw the line and just throwing scrabble chips on the floor to see what it comes up with. I also can't stand creative spellings of names. I remember when I was subbing I called out a girls name(wish I could remember what it was) and she threw a fit and said "Everyone calls me that and its wrong." In my head I like "thats cause your ******* mother couldn't spell your name right, get used to it honey."

I used to work with someone who named his twins Luke and Leia and claimed he didn't even realize until someone pointed it out to him, yeah right

Leia is an older name, but originally was pronounced Leah. Not to say Star Wars didn't influence those name choices, especially with pronunciation.

My favorites were the ones that were phonetic type spellings. Or portions of the name that were 'silent' for just he sake of having an unusually spelled name.
