MOTU Classics Netossa Video Review by Pixel Dan

    Hey guys!

I've had a crazy weekend full of Holiday gatherings that has kept me quite busy and away from online. But here's the Netossa review! Sorry for the wait!

Any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer! I still need to read through for questions on my other threads too!

    Awesome review PD!

I wasn't all that interested in Netossa at first, but now I can't wait to get her. Although I have to agree with you, it was strange on Mattel's part to include her before someone like Glimmer.....

Hopefully we will start to see more and more PoP and NA in the line!

She is absolutely exquisite looking! I love the sculpting of her hair, and the curvy curls that they used. The 4H really knocked her out of the park. I think she is the most beautiful female figure in the line. I cannot wait to FINALLY have a Netossa figure in this line! She's my favorite POP character, and I never thought she'd be coming this soon, but I'm oh so grateful that she is! Thanks for the great review!

    Thanks Dan!

She is really a great sculpt. Love her skintone & outfit colors. She is amazing. We get a sword or spear & her mask & she'll be perfect.

I am going to say rightfully so on this one, that black spot is terrible. I hope they are not all like that.

Great lookin' figure! Still, i'm gona be swapping and playing with weapons until I find something that works. I'm also not a fan of her head-wings...it's too bad they have such a focus on the Filmation designs rather than the toys.

Regardless, everything else about the figure looks fantastic! As it was stated in the review: I'm really enjoying the color scheme on this one, and the face is just the best female face sculpt in the line so far.

Mine will be wearing her cape and facing forward, so i'm not too bothered about the spot.

She's beautiful. Shame about the ankles and the spot on the net. And, y'know, the inevitable breaking/rotting of the net.

Great review Dan as usual, but nothing swayed me to order her the way I felt compelled to get Frosta (reversed arms and all) after watching your video. Aside from the beautiful face sculpt the rest of the figure is bland and boring to me. The loose ankles and stiff/useless cape "accessory" are also a letdown. Looks like January will be a cheap month for me barring any re-issues that might surface up.

    Thank you, Dan

I'm a little concerned about that spot on the net. Thefwoosh's sample is like that too I wonder what has caused it?

She's such a cool looking figure. Very glad she's coming.

They are wonderfully complementary, just like all the figures in the line.

Sorry but your comment isn't going to bring the thread down

    Thank for the review Dan.
I love how Netossa turned out, I can't wait to add her to my shelf.

Netossa and Octavia are truly the highlights of 2013, at least what we've seen so far.

Thank you for that great review.

Netossas face looks amazing, your review totally brings that out.

I really like the net holding poses you gave her as long as she wears her net as a cape. The moment the cape is off, those wings do look awkward, i hoped your review proofs me wrong and itīs not that obvious but it is.

I think she should have come with a second head without those fans/wings sticking at her hair.

And that black spot is weird...

But iīm glad we get a new Great Rebellion member, so bring on Glimmer and with all those reused Peekablue parts iīm hoping she is coming soon!!!!

Great review. I like the shots where she is wearing and holding her net/cape. Now I have a month to customize a tiara for her to go with those wings. This figure and Octavia are my main wants for 2013 so far.

    Thanks Dan.

She is a beautiful looking figure. Awesome face & hair.

Definately in need of some more weaponry which will hopefully be included in the next weapons pak.

I don't mind the head wing things. There are far stranger things in this line!

I love her face and hair. She seriously does have the best face out of all the POP females so far.

Wow, I'm really excited for this figure!

Disappointing that once again there are significant design flaws. We haven't had a perfectly executed design on a POP figure since Bow. The Great Rebellion and the Horde are the factions that I'm most excited for these days.... I'd love to see improvement in the POP designs.

Darn. I hope I like her better in hand. The net spot is lame and since the Fwoosh review also had it I am guessing it is a widespread issue. I also agree with Dan that I wish the net was cloth. Her face looks great but I just can't get too excited over this one. That stupid black spot really annoys me for some reason and I wish things like this would get resolved before they ship out a figure.

I think that if/when she arrives I May give her net a slight drybrush of metallic blue so the cape POPs a bit more... I'll keep saying it, but she needs her Vintage Toy headdress.
