What figures would you buy again if they were simply re-packaged?

As a MOC collector, I love the way all the MOTUC (and vintage stuff) look in my hobby room, with the packaging adding to that toy store feel.

That said, MOTUC has made some terrific figures that I always wished had been packaged in the standard, monthly blister card. For example, I would actually spend money to buy these figures with ZERO new parts, just put in standard MOTUC packaging...

Prince Adam
Orko
Cringer
Queen Marlena
Kronis (though I do have a nice custom on the way in the mail!)
Stratos from the TRU 2-packs
BA Faker
MerMan with cardback head
Whiplash/Stinkor/Fisto with 200X heads

Any other MOC collectors wish some guys were available like this? I know it's silly to want to buy the same figures just rearranged in the package but I'd do it regardless. :P

I'd for sure buy BA Faker - I am an opener but I could never find him at TRU and the secondary market was waaaaay out of control. I might buy Orko as well...

Prince Adam for sure as he is the only character released thus far without any packaging whatsoever (stupid, stupid idea).

I would definitely look into re-buying other charaters if there was a subtle change, such as paint deco or added accessory (as in the case of Stratos) or Mer-Man released with a Filmation styled head.

I should have listed BA Faker #1 or maybe #2 behind Prince Adam.

I finally got one for the collection, paid $100 for one MIP last weekend at a toy show in St. Louis. But that's not nearly as cool as having one in a standard monthly package would be.

I wonder if Mattel would ever do that when their agreement with TRU ran out? Surely, that deal is long dead and they could make money without making anything new other than his namecard in the package.

None. I do wish they had used the red 80s explosion design though on the classics packaging, I loved that look.

I'm sort of glad they didn't go "full vintage" on the packaging though. Then I would be a lot more compelled to have a MOC collection as well.

I would buy:

Blue Merman without Aquaman (from the VS two pack)
Prince Adam

I definitely would like the red lava burst from the vintage 80s toy line. Hunter Knight, could probably whip up some of these types of cardbacks!

Hmmm...using that red-burst might be a good way to repackage the MOTUC with limited accessories for a retail line.

I actually really like the new packaging, the figures are an 80's nod enough for me, then the new packaging makes them feel more unified, since only the MOTU figure came with the explosions, and not any other line, this way every figure feels more like it belongs to a new line, but still together as a unified MOTU universe, I'm glad they did use new packaging.

And as far as figures....I don't have much of a MOSC anymore, but I am rebuilding a bit, so since I would have them loose already with no need to open them....

Adam
(regular color) Orko, I have the SDCC, but prefer the original colors, but don't want to buy a whole Adam & Orko, or now all of the "gift set"....
TRU Faker (even though I have my own "Ultimate BA Faker" custom I prefer more, being MOSC....I would still buy it)
Starla (I do not like the other 2 Star Sisters at all)
Snake Men in various colors
Palace Guards (I would only want one, but with better heads than we got....I do not want Scott looking at me from my shelf)

Anyone with software like GIMP and Photoshop and the ability to use them could do it themselves, and someone already whipped some up for those loose cases being sold....if they are still being sold....but anyone could attempt it, no need to be a customizer to do it. Maybe if I can find the art, I may attempt it, but I still haven't gotten back to any new ads yet, haven't had time to work on them, but I do have new cutouts ready since I opened my figures.

None. I even opened my Bronze King Grayskull that I bought a few months ago. I play with my toys. I would just throw any new packaging away.

This is an old photo of my Kronis. It was incomplete.
Now it's sportin' the black Optikk weapons and in the box there are also the Trap Jaw weapons, the black Roboto weapons, the Trap Jaw head, two mechanical Trap Jaw arms and the blue Man-At-Arms cannon. I'll open a thread for this deluxe version of Kronis!
