I'd like to thank Scott for taking his time out and answering this question- just as I had thought, Terry's character won't appear until issue #3 but read on:

That is a little unrealistic. Not every new character will be a toy, but to say no new characters can be created in any medium is a little extreme.

Apparently it was a bit more broad of an initiative than many of us thought- management pretty much put worth the directive to Scott to use the 30th lines new media (comics) to introduce new characters IN GENERAL, not just introduce the characters only used in the 30th toyline.

Agreed. Look how many new characters and races 200x brought to the table. Things need to evolve not grow stagnant.

Now these characters sound interesting to me,

. Hope their designs are impressive looking. I do like the name

, the character design looked good although not that distinctive looking.

, such a bland name on him but I'd like to see more of his design in the future.

I tend to agree about the name, it does not really fit the pre-ternia vibe, but with sir-lazer lot I guess it make sense...

I am not going to get too bent out of shape on new characters. I am glad they are creating new characters...and really don't care if some of these guys make it into the line, I just hope they use the
4H to get a little input...we need more Draego and a lot less TMS in my opinion.

I'll be honest, I would be on the fence about it too, but since you marked the post as spoilers and put the reveal in spoilers I'm going with that.

I'd say for a little while more we go with the spoiler tags. I, for one, am waiting for the long, slow wanderings of Newgistics to bring my sub to me still.

Well I'm cool with anything and everything new (believe me my wallet will angrily concur this), but it was just a random thought; he sounds like a terrific character for NA era. And the fact that some characters and concepts were ignored (Council of Elders for one) I actually am surprised that the Faceless One seems to be absent consider it was his his fault the treaty with Hiss broke and caused the Ultimate Battleground to some extent.
