    Tweeterhead To Produce MOTU Busts!

Saw this news via their Facebook... and I have to say, I love these ten times more than the NECA ones from "back in the day". They look AWESOME! We get a peek at a fully painted She-Ra (they took some liberties with her face and make-up, but there's no denying... she looks beautiful!), and sculpts of Teela, Beast Man, and Skeletor. Also on tap are Evil-Lyn and He-Man for 2015. She-Ra has a release date of... THIS MONTH!

Damn it! These look amazing, especially that Alcala-like Skeletor! My wallet is going to kill me.
    Any news on price?

This it the only tidbit I could find, and even then it was passed on to me by someone else who was like "Hey, did you know about this?"
    Gotta love surprises!

I didn't realize these were official. They look amazing, but that She-Ra looks nearly identical to one an .orger did. The custom is based on Nate Baertch's drawing of She-Ra (hence the falcon chest symbol).

Wow, what a surprise! I've been very tempted by their Munsters and Batman '66 stuff. I may not be able to resist getting these.

I'm not sure what to think about the bases though.

While i do like what tweeterhead is doing, specifically their batman stuff, i have no interest in getting any of the MOTU busts at the moment. But they do look like there very well done.

The bases are inspired by the vintage MOTU packaging.

Nate Baena Baertsch is actually involved with these.

I might have to pick these up. I hope they're in scale with the Neca ones.

Yeah, I get that. I don't think the sculpt is the issue. They just look off to me next to the painted She-Ra. Hopefully it is just the pictures. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I want them so badly... I really hope they aren't too big and expensive, I can't afford buying more stuff every month...

They do look really good, but yeah She-Ra's make up is a little heavy. The Beast Man and Teela are my favourite, I'd love it even more if that Teela was blonde!
Not sure if I'll get them yet or not, will depend on the price point.

Help me out guys and gals. I'm not a collector of busts. But these are great looking. What does 1/4 scale mean in general terms.....how big is it?

A 1:4 scale statue of a 6' tall human is 18" plus the base if that helps. I'd say these will be somewhere between 7"-10" tall.

Thanks for the info. So sounds like they'll be decent size. Which equals $$$

The Skeletor bust may look something like this. It was posted by Tweeterhead back in March as a hint to this line. They offered it as an unpainted bust kit years ago.

Looks better IMHO. The face looks a little less porcelainy and the base doesn't look as cheap. Still not a huge fan of the bases though. I'm curious to see what these cost.
