Vintage Style Super7 5.75 in MOTU Figures

I was watching the local San Diego news this morning and they did a pretty extensive interview in Skeletor's Lair with Super7 and all the MOTU goodies they have been producing lately.

They talked about the "Curse of the Three Terrors" animated film and also had on prominent display (in the center of the store) some vintage-style 5.75 inch MOTU figures - a Skeletor repaint and some new figures I've never seen before.

Has anyone heard anything about Super7 making some vintage style MOTU figure like this? Not sure if this is newsworthy or not, but wanted to share it!

Can you share which station aired this? Or could there be a link to the news story online?

It was Fox5 News San Diego...they have a portion of the interview on their Facebook page (unable to link here). I'm trying to find the full interview online. Will update here if I can link to it.

Thanks! I went on to their site and went to the Morning News section where they apparently live stream their news and you can rewind back to the point where they interview Super7. It was around the 7:23 mark I believe.

I am soooo down for any new vintage style figures. Just tell me how to get them!
We need to let our new friends at Super 7 know that many of us are ALL IN COLLECTORS. We don't want products that are impossible for the average collector to have access to! If there is a He-man product, I want to buy it. Please no chases or con-only exclusives.

Make your voice heard! We DO want Snake Mountain!

Do these glow in the dark? The plastic used looks like they may...

Now, if only they had mini-comics, they would be perfect.

I wonder if these are the three terrors.

Since their names on the cards in the images above all start with "Terror", I think that would be a safe bet!

So these are vintage inspired and not actual retakes of the vintage MOTU line?

Many fans/collectors were waiting for something like that for many years, I hope that it is just the begining of the "real" vintage toyline revival.
Anyway it is really surprising to see something like that, well done Super7!

On the Backcards artworks the colors of each characters are different.
At my eyes, these ones are exclusive versions (which appeared to be Glow in the Dark?) and later we will probably have the regular colored versions as shown on the cardbacks... nice idea if real.

Yeah, big time. I don't know if that's the intention, but the sculpting on the oversize heads is kinda naff. They're cool as a novelty item, but these don't hold up as a continuation of the vintage line in any way.

These aren't really my thing, but hat's off to Super 7 for producing them. They're certainly going gangbusters with MOTU!
