Niki, Sangre-claws and Jack Frost are enemies who dwell at the polar north of eternia. Sangre-Claws is an elder who serves as the guardian of family values, and good will towards men; he delivers gifts to the children of eternia who follow the virtues of the forces of good, one special night of the eternian year that is known to all eternians as the day of "Brotherhood in the Eve of Darkness". Jack frost, provoker of sadness, coldness and despair, is in constant combat with Sangre-Claws over is throne in the palace of the Elven Wish-Granters.

However, on the day of "Brotherhood in the Eve of Darkness, they hold a truce in their battle over the hearts of eternians. PYRE uses his power over the Flames of Red Dwarf Sun to cook a feast and host a celebratory meal for the two.
