    What's Your Favorite X-Mas Movie?

    What's Your Favorite X-Mas Movie?

    I'd have to go with A Christmas Story. There hasn't been too many other movies I laughed as hard as I did when I saw it for the first time. I still find the movie pretty good today. I think I'd put It's A Wonderful Life second, followed by National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation third.

    Definitely The Christmas Story! Then maybe How the Grinch stole Christmas (the old school version with Boris Karloff narrating.)

    Definitely National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Sheer laugh-out-loud funny every time. Chevy Chase can do deadpan with the best of 'em.

    It's a toss-up between National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story

    Favorite X-Mas movie: Die Hard.
    It's great being Lord of the Thundercats - especially hanging out with Cheetara - but the one draw back is that He-Man can still beat me up.

    I've seen someone else here refer to "Die Hard" as a Christmas movie, but it sounds like it's just an action movie where part of the events take place at a Christmas party. Doesn't qualification for "a Christmas movie" mean that the holiday itself is a major player and not just a background setting?

    wow this is a tough one for me.

    Its a wonderful Life
    Jingle all the way

    and even if its not a Christmas movie per say but it gets close in my book due to somebody going through hell to get to their family for a holiday.

    Ditto. This is the epitome of great Christmas time movies. My family and I have all watched this movie every single year for as long as I can remember, whether we're together or not.

    Thanks as your tastes are also exceptional! I also bought the same tape & PO'ed that is was edited, so I began my quest to find the actual Region 1 DVD release that was made about 7 years ago. Amazon has them once in a great while but I refuse to pay the outrageous prices people want (lowest I've seen was last year $350), even tough I've heard that it is unedited. Plus I can't believe I forgot to add these to my list;

    Christmas on Sesame Street (With the all time best of Bert & Ernie selling each other prize position to get the other something great. And mister Hooper giving them each their stuff back Ernie's Rubber Duckie & Bert his paperclip collection)

    Pac Man Christmas
    Smurf all of their Christmas episodes

    It's a shame Cartoon Network stopped showing these classic animated gems as my family & I always Tivoed them & watched them over the course of the holidays.
