Same as always...stay home with the wife, watch **** Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and eat lots of snack foods (meat balls, pizza rolls, wings, quesadillas, etc).

After tonight's raw I plan on ringing in the new year with a friend and a game of L.A.R.P over the phone(Ok Ok I'm a geek lol!(And proud of it!)

We'll be watching two countdowns since we are in the central time zone. Interestingly Jenny McCarthy is co-hosting D!ck Clark's show, and Carmen Electra is co-hosting the other count down.... raising the question of whether we are watching New Years countdowns for 2013, or an MTV dating show in 1996. LOL
It is weird with this being the first new year without Mr. Clark. That's like Christmas without Santa!

After work, cracked open my new Xmas haul that was delivered today with my elder son (Buzz-off 200X, Clawful, Mantenna, and Snout Spout Stactions), put the boys to bed. Now listening to Gnarls Barkley, drinking a beer awaiting the frozen Home Run Pizza that's in the oven. Wife's on her iPhone, I'm on my iPad. PS: she's quite grumpy with me for the new toy haul... Sheesh... But it's all good. Here's to a new year. We're actually planning on hopefully moving back to Kentucky in 2013 so that's exciting.
I'll probably watch tv with my wife. I watched some football earlier.
Watching the twilight zone marathon on syfy.

Watched a few mostly bad movies this evening, watched the countdown, and shared champagne with my wife. We haven't gone out on New Year's in probably a decade. We had all our fun for the holidays at Christmas.

Nothing... it's the changing of a calender page and nothing more. I see people crying about how it's a "new start", and yet they celebrate this 'new start' by going out and getting as drunk as they do every other Friday and Saturday night the whole year round. Whole thing's a waste of time & energy

A big BBQ night for me, 60 members of my relative join the party and watch 4 different fireworks from my beautiful home. A lovely lovely New Year Party for me, the kids enjoyed it, the teenagers enjoyed it, and the adults really enjoyed it.
Our ancestor are praying for the wealthy of his generation, Many has come and we will wait for more.

Death is inevitable, death will keep his promise to greet you in the after life.
And god will keep his promise to judge you right or wrong. Then your soul will be there forever after.
I waa hoping for a lot more upbeat or at least hopeful responses. It's not all about affording (or not affording) champagne or going out. To me it's about reflecting on the year past -- good or bad -- spending time with those we love and keeping a flicker of hope alive for the coming year.
