You got a pic?
I purchased a Spanish MOC Skeletor dated 1988, which came with a mini-catalog featuring artwork from the 1987 MOTU movie.
Skeletors face is painted very dark and menacing, and I only noticed today in brighter light that the head is actually molded in black rubber instead of purple. I've never seen this before.
Has anybody else seen this before and is it rare?

Um, yes, there are. Like, ALL of them in the classic line.
Male = The tab on the back. He-Man, Battle Armor He-Man, Thunder Punch He-Man, Weapons Pak, and Prince Adam had this sword.
Female = The slit on the back. Skeletor, Battle Armor Skeletor, Dragon Blaster Skeletor, and Faker had this sword.
In some countries outside North America, Skeletor had the "Male" half. I've also seen a He-Man/Battle Armor He-Man colored "Female" half from these countries as well.
Now, as to your Skeletors:
The first 3 are regular Skeletors. Not sure where you got the male Power Sword in Skeletor Purple. What country are you from?
The 4th is a Dragon Blaster Skeletor minus all accessories (except his sword).
Hope that helps!![]()
Uncle Montork has returned from Trolla!
Half painted boots indicate they originate from 1982. Purple is first edition, and black became standard across the whole line. Full painted boots began in 1983. I'm no expert on variations, but that Is how I recall it.Another variation is the country of origin; "CoO". For USA MOTU, I know Taiwan
and Malaysia are common.

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments" (Matthew 22:36-40).
Hello!
I have a bunch of Skeletor figures that have different shades of purple used on his boots. Is there some kind of list of variants somehwere that can be used for reference? If not maybe I will make one. My home office looks like someone jammed 4 yard sales into it with He-Man stuff all over the place!
Thanks in advance!
oh man.. there's quite a bit
different countries with different colors.
hong kong, china, taiwan, mexico, spain, etc
do you mean colors for each variant as in, original skeletor, dragon blaster, etc or like the different countries like carlo mentioned above?
=)
Can I get a "Hell Yeah" for Scorpia!!!

My Feedback: http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...d.php?t=163764
I THINK its the same as this one from an old thread..
http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...d.php?t=120709
not a re-issue, its 1981 and has flat feet on bottom no ridge. I will check to see if its the dark footed DB skele version when I get home (see if it has that diff thing stickin out back of foot) I didnt think about that!! I forgot there was a light and dark foot DB skele! Its also not regular armor its slightly different in size and design, and darker. He is darker all over. So is the staff.

I never knew there was a dark-footed version of DB Skeletor either. After reading this thread, I remembered having an extra, incomplete DB that came in a lot. I checked, and it has the dark feet. Also has 1981 on the back.
HAH! I checked and it IS a dark footed Dragon Blaster Skeletor , doesn't explain the darker staff and armor, but Im half way there and figuring out this monster.
Also noticed, the dark boot version has "1981 Mattel Inc.", but my purple boot variant has "1984 Mexico" on the torso. My purple boot variant came from childhood, so I know it's original. But the dark boot one came in a lot recently. Has anyone found any other versions, like a dark boot with 1984 on it?
I recently noticed the my 1981 Skeletor had slightly shorter legs than my 1982 Skeletor. The feet also appear to be chubbier on the '81 figure, as well as the deco on their faces. Are these known differences and do more variants exists?
***Mods: I tried searching for a thread with this information but couldn't find one. Not sure if the search option on here works to well. Please move if a thread on this topic exists already.***

Since this topic is recent and active, can anybody tell me if this is just a simple Usa skeletor with an aging body?, color of the boots is a little different, and more saturated to what I see in ebay; I want to confirm it's the camera and such.

When it comes to She-ra Princess of Power characters, FILMATION is the way to go!.
The head is clearly from Taiwan Skeletor, and color of boots can be very different in both He-Man and Skeletor figures from Taiwan (including that light purple boots for Skeletor). Yellowing torso is quite common for them as well, so I guess nothing interesting about that figure except his arms look to dark and they could be from Skeletor made in Hong Kong.
