MOTUC Rayven Custom

[Sky Breaker]

One day I decided to do a MOTUC Rayven, to see how he would turn out. Luckily a fantastic orger named Replikor had the parts I needed, so we did a trade. I had to say good bye to Tri-Klops, but it was a small price to pay to help someone out and get a custom.

So here he is again, my first fan character, my Mary Sue (but without a head sculpted to look exactly like mine, Toyguru ). He is a combination of the following MOTUCs.

Draego-Man
Keldor
Horde Prime (I think) with 2 Weapons Pak accessories.

As I was putting him together I decided to swap some colors from the original design, to give him a new feel with some red hair and 80s Neon Green. I may make other changes later, but for now this is how he is. I also decided to leave the head resembling Keldor, as since Skeletor created him. Perhaps a little vanity (or his God complex) lead him to make a creature in his own image, which could explain Evil-Lyn's attraction to him in my fan fics. Also, its a devilishly handsome head.

Very happy with my $1 acrylic paints. They stuck to the plastic like glue. This is only 1 coat, and as I have extremely limited patience for painting.



Anyone have any package editing advice? Should I just Photoshop a new insert and paste it over?

Should I just Photoshop a new insert and paste it over?

- Scan the back of the insert, it's totally plain
- Use the original font in photoshop to write all the names
And voilà!

Kind of looks like a gargoyle. Great mixing of colors here too. Lovin it!!

I like how the simplicity of the parts re-use and new colors work in bringing this new character to life. I agree that the paint's texture give him a really neat stone gargoyle feel. The Keldor face suits him well and I like how you used it in your bio to explain some of Keldor's vanity and Evil Lyn's attraction to him. As far as packaging goes, I'd suggest scanning the original insert and Photoshopping over the He-Man name and tagline. You can then print it on matte photo paper, cut it to the proper shape, and replace it or glue it over the original.

Thanks! He was fun to put together, after nearly wrecking my thumbs with the tough MOTUC plastic. It has to be boiled to work with.

I like the mix of parts but the colour pallette for me just doesn't work. Were those colours on your previous Rayven commission pieces??
