Oscars Talkback 2013?

So I didn't really watch it, just caught a glimpse or two. I've read some 'meh' reviews re: Seth McFarlane, I've also heard some good. but it's the oscars usually overblown overlong and the host has a hell of a time trying to keep that from being dull.

So what say you guys??

I thought it was alright - it was long, but I blame the constant commercial breaks more than anything else for that. There's really no reason this should run more than three hours, but for a while it was 'award, commercial, award, commercial, award, commercial, etc.'

MacFarlane did OK - he's got a good stage presence, timing, and singing voice. (I did like the focus on musicals/scores). A few of the jokes were groaners, but nothing as bad as what some people feared from him, I think.

I was wondering if people would get tired of the musical stuff, as Seth is a song and dance man at heart it seems. he lost a good amount of weight it looks like, though he never looked fat. Talented guy but to me he tends to rely on a formula that has grown (again to me) extremely tired and stale.

She was the BEST part of the 3.5 hour long program!! Not just her fall but her WIN, her acceptance speach! I hope we see more of her in the future (aside from The Hunger Games).
