Red is more memorable. Not interested in shelling eighty bucks for a mere repaint. Even if he were to come with an interesting accessory.

I prefer the Red, would I buy a green one? I'm not sure but for now I will say yes because I'm a sucker for MOTUC.

Yeah, I would buy one. I doubt it will ever be made, but I'm in. Absolutely incredible figure--the artistic merit of the sculpt alone is deserving of a repaint.

There is such a simple solution to this. Release Sorroful the dragon from POP. The POP fans will snap him up. He is a green dragon as well. All Mattel have to do is put an additional Granamyer head (in green) in the pack as an extra....viola. This way Mattel get a complete re-use of the buck for another Filmation character, vintage fans get there green Granamyer and POP fans get their Sorrofull. It just makes sense. Mattel, POP and MOTU fans all win.

I've already gotten the red Filmation verson, so there is no need, and Granamyr is red.

Nope....my Granamyr came from Filmation, so I am happy with the one I have. Plus by the time they put a green one out he would likely cost $120 from Matty....with price increases and all.

No. Even though the mini-comic was Granamyr's debut, the Filmation episode is his TRUE appearance for me. I was glad when red won in the fan's choice votes.

I haven't bought Red yet, so I'd be in no hurry to buy his secondary color.

But like every other regularly released MOTUC item, they'd both end up in my collection eventually.

Actually I'm pretty sure he was Filmation first and foremost. The mini comic is based on the episode and came out a year later. Granamyr is Larry Ditillio's character.

Mattel isn't going to fix Granamyr's QC issues if he is recolored. The problems don't exist on a wide scale. Right TG?

absolutely not. it was hard enough to validate spending 90 dollars on that hideous beast. im glad i got him and additionally red is one i voted for

I voted no, but only because red came first. I voted red when we had the option, but if green had won I would have got a green one. But 1 $80 dragon is enough for me. He would have to be at least half price before I could even consider picking one up....

While I did indeed hope for him to be green, I have (mostly) made peace with his red color and don't see a need for a second Granamyr in my collection.

That said, I would quite happily plunk down for Sorrowful any time! Bring on the cowardly dragon! Use the preorder system if there's worry about his popularity.

No, I only know him from the Filmation cartoon. The green design from the comic makes him look sick.

Wow, thanks for correcting me Marzo!

So I guess his Filmation appearance WAS his TRUE first appearance!

(Now I am wondering why he was re-colored for the mini-comic..... )
