In fact it's a design totally faithful, much more than the current yellow cross he-man .

Past Imperfect? Really? They are now ripping off fan's work. Future Imperfect is fanfic illustrated by Sha, from He-Man.org. And Adora and Teela knowing each other, it made no sense.

Yeah, that does seem odd. It doesn't look like she's had much of any change to her costume which feels weird in comparison to He-man's first look and other characters. I was kinda hoping for a bit of an update myself.

Future Imperfect was also the title of a Star Trek TNG episode and a Incredible Hulk graphic novel where he fights his future self...

Nothing has really been done with She-Ra in over 25 years, so what I'm hoping is that her trademark look is temporary, used in only a few issues, for the recognition factor and to re-establish her.

Be careful what you wish for...you might get it.

I've heard similar sentiment before and I find it amazing. Most MOTU fans (who have seen redesigns before) would want nothing better than to return to their original looks, yet some POP fans want a new 52 design for She-Ra, since nothing has been done with her since the 80's.

Wonder if it has to do with copyright issues or something? Like maybe DC can only use her if they use the Filmation design?
Who knows. Her look is pretty classic and doesn't really need an update, IMO. I think classic She-Ra will look fine in the comics mixed in with He-Man and everyone else.

Well, I wouldn't want She-Ra's costume to be altered to the point where she's totally unrecognizable (well, maybe ONCE in awhile) - the designs for the most part should be rooted in either the Filmation look or classic toys - but I am *dying* to see the POP gals redesigned with costumes/looks that are more 'Fantasy Goddesses' than 'Basic Superheroines' (the latter of which seems to dominate most modern comics), even if it's just for one mini-series or something. I'm not an expert on comics, but I think DC *kind-of* went in this direction with Wonder Woman in the mid to late 90s, if I'm recalling correctly, but not to the extent that I'm wanting for POP. Think flowing skirts, highly ornamental bracers, belts etc. but with a warrior-like edge to them. I also want lush, majestic environments for parts of Etheria.

First of all subscribtion only includes the toy cover version of #1. And secondly, they don't send shipping emails for these subscription comics.

Who is to say the fan work wasn't an idea someone else also had but never wrote? Case in point, I can't prove it but I basically had the general idea and concept of Stargate Universe in my head as a fan invention five years before MGM came up with it. In the entertainment industry today, there is no such thing as an original idea anymore, just original ways to spin an idea someone else has done to death millions of times over already. About the same as trying to claim that someone ripped off a fan art of a certain pose of a copyrighted character that tons of other artists drew long before the fan art version.

Comic nerds have been moaning about 'Once Upon A Time' supposedly ripping off the concept of the 'Fables' comic book and there were nerds who were also moaning years ago saying Tim Kring 'ripped off' the idea of the time travel to the future episodes of 'Heroes' from some X-Men mini-series years prior.

Someone out there is always going to say someone else ripped them off when that someone else just happened to have the same idea and managed to make a profit off of it first.

The concept of Masters of the Universe itself could be called a 'rip off' of certain elements from 'Conan The Barbarian'.

I just enjoy what we can get because there are a lot worse things coming at us from the entertainment industry.

OK, so that means regular cover is not included in subscription then? I guess I misunderstood what the subscription was about then.

Not sure I approve of the Mekaneck shade in issue 2. It's all become a bit self-referential, almost like a parody.

Same here. #2 arrived today, but I never got issue #1. Who do we contact about this? For me, being in Canada, there was a Quebec based return address on the slip cover. Would I contact them or DC?

I have the customer service E-mail I sent and asked how they are being sent - bagged and boarded...the 'board' is a sheet of paper...but it arrived in perfect condition...and in the large space in the superbox...although it was with a Hot Toys Iron Man...

I e-mailed them this afternoon, I will let you know what they say...

I don't think that's actually the kind of "Number 2" that Zodak 74 was referring to as arriving by post - which would be altogether - well - smellier.....

And - this issue is a bit better than the last one, though still far from up to MVC standards. So it's not THAT bad!
But - how on earth did they contrive to get Issue 2 to you before Issue 1 ?

Truly strange are the ways of DC; no wonder they're in such straits.

I thought I'd pick up on this again just after reading issue 2. I notice that all the other Masters (and even King Randor) seem to look pretty much the same as their vintage look. So it looks like the furry undies is still the standard for motu, except for He-man from issue 4 (and possibly onward). I kinda wish they did also receive updates to their looks. Even if He-man were still in the updated classic costume I still would have liked to see the rest receive a touch up in their looks and just have them the same as they looked in the 80's (especially King Randor lol).
