Im loving this cover, i love the horde walkers and as mentioned would be good if monstroids were worked in but understand a new take on things. Im really liking the Grayskull shadow over the troopers.

My question is what is that light coming from to the left of the troopers You can only see it on the left side of the troopers and there is one trooper at the front looking to the left.

This is awesome! I haven't read a comic in a long time. I checked the DC website and saw that they have a yearly subscription for Masters of The Universe, so I ordered a sub......and I don't have to worry about reversed shoulders or decreasing the size.

I don't have the time to visit a comic shop, so the mail subscription was my only option. This story sounds exciting!

Loving the covers and hope it translates into the artwork!

Plus I pray it carries on the vibe of the Despara issue. That definitely was amazing,

Am I the only one who thinks this is Mattel's way of owning a She-Ra origin story that is there own? Will we even see Catra, Scorpia etc.? Does that give Mattel ownership of the characters in printed form/usage?

Providing it does PoP justice, I'm up for it.

    Wait, I forgot...Adore = Adora?

*sigh* Yes, shift to ridicule. Not like it matters to me, honestly.

I'm feeling this is an original concept thought out by the writers of the comic, and Mattel has merely just signed off on it and given these people the creative freedom to do what they want with this comic.

That, honestly, is best in my opinion. Giving the writers enough creative freedom has brought about this great series. I'm hoping they can do a lot of good with the source material.

WHAT?! DC isn't going to be releasing any more digital one-shots?! I've liked those the most of all out of this entire comic book revival!

Scott already has said he was part of the Despara digital-comic and even helped with the name. So I think he'll be in some way part of the DC Comics' story. Not "merely signing off" on it.

I kind of like the cover with the Horde Trooper invasion, but it does not make much sense that we can see the eyes, nose and jaw bridge flushed by light, except if only the front facade of the castle would still be standing. Seems the "sun" is shining from behind the castle, otherwise...hhm. I know we can see the "face" of Grayskull for better recognition, anyway I would have prefered another solution that makes more sense or is more realistic.

look no that kind of reasoning on art, especially in cover art, it's a resource artistical.

You are right. However, it is just stylistic choice.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned something about DC holding off on the digital one-shots.

Yes! I will do a cartwheel* if they are released!

    Disclaimer: I won't actually do a cartwheel
It is spelled "Crita", not "Critta". Misspell her name and Crita will knock the "T" out of you!

    Also...get her into the line!

I'm very happy for Axel! For those of you trying to think of some of his art, he did the He-Man, She-Ra and Thundercats posters for Power-Con 2012.

He would have made one hell of a Digital One-Shot for Evil-Lyn!

Much better than the Sin City rip off treatment she got.

EDIT: This is "fan art", not for the official DC stuff. Just wanted to note that. It's one of my favourite pieces of his though.
