Poor Teela has a uni-boob. Those cannot be real. I wonder if there is a breast implant specialist on Eternia. Maybe it is "BIGG-OR - Heroic Breast Implant Specialist"

This is all great news, but what the heck are we to do between January and April?!

I wonder why they edited two books on the same day, January 30 launches the latest issue of the regular series and the origin of He-Man, why not edit one book in January and the other one in February, so the wait would be more short.
Anyway Perhaps they also edited more digital comics .

This is outstanding news!!! I was going to be VERY sad if the MOTU comic did not get it's own ongoing series. It is no 200X comic with Val at the helm, but it is still MOTU and still alot of fun. Bring on MOTU comics for many years to come (hopefully!!!!)
Love The Idea of an on going MOTU comic but hopefully DC wont screw it up
like they did with Superman & the New 52![]()
Did sales go down? No, they went up. It is not a screw up if there is an audience buying it.
Sorry you dont like it though.

I'm really excited that over the news of the comic getting picked up. And Despara!!! Any exposure of that take on Adora is a-ok with me!
While I'm glad Teela is a red head again, her design is ridiculous. We are seriously in Power Girl territory here. Is her finishing move on the battlefield to smother her opponents with those ginormous breasts?!![]()

Talk about selective reading...did you even read the article?
The success isn't due to the reboot but due to DC's new standards and practices.
From the article:
In addition, it’s all but eliminated its staple of event/mini-series comics, choosing to keep stories contained to various ongoing series and crossing over events with other series instead of spinning them off into separate comics.
This is a key difference between DC’s attitude prior to the New 52 and its current way of doing business. Focusing on a foundation of strong ongoing series instead of pushing short-term events and miniseries is making the company stronger than ever before. While I question many of the creative choices made in the New 52, it cannot be denied that the company’s "prolonged" success ( even a year long increase is unprecedented in recent sales figures), has been due in part to the company’s focus on ongoing titles.
If DC had used this formula before the reboot, the old books would have been just as successful. The only reason they had to reboot is due to the fact that they ruined the old Universe with all of those dumb crossovers which ended up turning away fans instead of bringing them back. Many fans complained about these events for years but DC never listened. I personally dropped almost all of my DC books once DC went to these daily "Events." Blackest Night, Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, Identity Crisis,...rubbish. You don't need these "mega events" going on all the time. When a monthly character book is comprised of nothing but monthly crossover events in a 12 month period, the publisher has got major problems.
Mars needs women...angry red women.
But calling it a screw up is false. Talk about out of proportion reactions(I really dislike rolling eyes by the way
)
Sales went up from before. The effect of the new formula is there, but the New 52 line didn't cancel it out.
That is plausible, but also something that can not be proven anymore as DC choose a different route.
I have to admit I don't like all the new outfits, but I like some of the story arcs. I also like the freshness of it.

I hope they release the Digital comics in a TPB at some point.

The last one, with Despera, was the first to say on the last page- something to the effect of- "Story continues in He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe!" (the title of the print comic). I took that to imply that the digital series had indeed wrapped up and that things were going to push forward in a new series of comics.
This is such cool news. I hope we get a Despara fig. some day.
Say cheese!!!

Sounds good BUT (I've not been paying attention)....
Is this a continuation of the 6 issue story? or is it a retelling of the SOTS?

I can't wait to see the Dodson's cover. I've been a fan of theirs since the Generation X days. If only they were doing the interiors...
