    I'd prefer Collection Intervention. Elyse is much easier on the eyes and would have an easier time getting me to sell my grail pieces.

    Wow, some of you guys actually BELIEVE in reality tv? None of those shows are even real. He's not gonna rip you off because there doesn't even have to be a transaction. It's "reality" television. Just like Pawn Stars pays people to bring in their rare stuff and pretend like they don't know nothing about it and they're selling it. Just like Storage Wars plants rare items inside the storage lockers before they pretend they open them for the first time in forever.

    Do you guys still believe in wrestling too?

    Talking about dire straits!I bet he's out putting flyers on people's windshields in shopping parking lots to!Hopefully this is a sign that the show is on it's way out!

    ^^^This. Repeated forever and ever.

    No money changes hands. There is no sale. It's reality TV. He digs through to "find" a focal point - a toy they can talk about - that they knew was there. It doesn't have to belong to the person. The toy may already belong to Jordan or it may belong to the expert who evaluates it later - which is what they do on the pawn/storage shows.

    The show's a lot more enjoyable when you just watch it to see cool toys get on national tv.

    That listing (which has been up for months) is just there to add to the "realism" of the reality show. Jordan doesn't need random collections submitted via the internet in order to fill out the show. He just uses his contacts in the community.

    And that's the reason why I enjoy watching it so much. The old commercial clips and seeing cool, classic toys on tv. I couldn't give a **** about the "reality" part of it: the "haggling", the act of surprise, whatever.
