Would You Buy Larger Than Scale "Sidekicks"?

Since we are soon to be getting an in-scale Zoar(or at least a red feathered Zoar-like bird), would you be interested in getting a larger sized Zoar(similar to the size of the toy from the original 1980's line) that wasn't in-scale? This could also be done for other smaller sized characters who haven't been made yet(Orko, Imp, Kowl, etc) but will probably be in-scale as well.

    In-Scale Toys only!

I want the toys to represent the characters I know and not a toy concept only... even if MOTU was designed to be a toy line from the begining.

... and thinking to have both is only a dream.
I doubt we will ever be 2 versions of anything starting with for Moss-Man.
So I doubt even more that Mattel will release 2 toys with 2 different scale

I would love to have Zoar and Screech in larger format and a smaller in-scale figure. The larger format would be great to have since that was how the vintage line was.

I want both sizes too(so far I'm the only one that's voted that way). I want a larger sized Zoar because that's the toy I had as a kid and also because I love the design enough to want to see it with more detail. While the in-scale version is cool for display purposes, the larger size could still work. Considering The Sorceress is magical, who's to say she couldn't increase her size as Zoar. You could say the same for Orko. I'll have to see if Screeech is an alternate form for Evil-Lyn, a robot, or something else before I can entertain a guess.

Considering the first Zoar isn't an actual release but only a glorified "weapon" packed with a character, who's to say we won't get another version as an "official" release. We already know we're getting 2 Zodac(k)s, Battle Armor He-Man, and re-releases with some changes made to their original releases.

I am more a fan of the vintage figures than I am of the over-all story that has been put together. If I had to choose one or the other I would prefer vintage size.

I want only "in-scale" toys with this line.

That said, I would buy either a vintage sized Zoar or Screech if they were detailed as seperate characters, like the fighting falcons they were meant to be. A simple name change and we're in business! They can be creative with the bios there.
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

I update my last post in this thread after thinking about this topic. Who is to say what is "in-scale". I go against the cartoon conventions and say that the vintage Zoar and Screech are "in-scale".

Since the figures "as a toy" exist because they appeared first in a comic or a cartoon, the origin of the character is the right "in-scale".

    In scale for me, too.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

I'd take larger than life versions of Zoar and Screech like the originals.

Not too crazy about this "in-scale" look.

Too little in my opinion. I like how the originals were big like Battle Cat and Panthor.

    I prefer in Scale only!
It usually bugs me when figures are out of scale.
I love the way Zoar is made in scale. It is awesome!!!

I agree "in scale" is the best. I have vintage Kowl displayed with Classics Bow and the sizing of those characters like Kowl, Orko, Loo-Kee and the birds were just way too big.

Absolutely not. Classics has got the aesthetic down to a science! I want a Kowl, Lookee, and Imp the same size as Orko, fully articulated. None of this oversized nonsense. Ditto with the birds and any other animals they decide to do. Cringer is a great size, but an articulated version would be great. If they ever get around to making a cat version of Catra, she should be similar sized and articulated. In fact, they could probably use the Cringer buck for that. Get on it, Matty!

I also only want in-scale items.

I hope we can get an in-scale Ram-Man one day.
