    That's just amazing.

Considering where the two toylines started out, they're way more impressive than the MP Transformers.

I always did prefer Gobots, I can see these possibly not being cheap though.

Expect 3rd party "add on" kits for Go-Bots cartoon heads at some point because I doubt Bandai will ever do those versions- although beyond the cartoon faces they didn't really change much from the toys anyway.

I'm seeing on toy sites that Bandai are teaming up with Action Toys for these, so they aren't actually third party at all. Which makes me hopeful the prices will be reasonable.

At the very least, I'll probably get Leader 1 and Cy-Kill. I'd love it if they made the blue Leader 1 and black Cy-Kill.

Whether or not I buy any others will depend on their scale and price. I have no desire to start a separate Go-Bot collection. But I'd love to have some new Go-Bots mixed in with my modern CHUG Transformers. So if these things are about deluxe scale and priced right I'll pick a few up. If they're larger, like say around voyager scale, I'll just stick with Leader 1 and Cy-Kill.

Personally, I prefer the toy style heads better anyway.

If they did make Crasher, it'll probably be white rather than black, since that's the version that appeared in the anime. I still hope they'd eventually release the black version too.

No Scooter either. I'm sure they'll be coming if these are successful.

I wonder how big these are...

Truth be told, if I wanted any of these toys I could probably just buy the originals in good shape for a fraction of what these will run especially since these likely have a 0% chance of a US release. Even if a US company was halfway willing to import them, they have no localized media to back them up, and the legal mess with Hasbro owning Go-Bots(via the Tonka buyout) would also get in the way. The only remote way I could see these in US stores would be to partner with Hasbro and I doubt Bandai would like that at all and would probably block it.

I was a GoBots kids, so I'm stoked. They won't have toon accurate heads, though. So Crasher will just look like a generic male robot, like the toy.

My understanding is there's no problem with bringing them to the U.S. since they're based on the original Japanese toys. They aren't GoBots. They just look like GoBots.

I'm really digging the classic toy look on these. Cy-Kill is perfect. I have far fonder memories of playing with the toys than watching the cartoon.

Isn't making Go-Bots that aren't crappy kind of like making Transformers that don't transform, or He-Man without muscles, or only two kinds of Pokemon?

If you don't want to wait, the 3rd party company DX9 did just that- they slapped a new head on their unofficial Masterpiece Mirage to make Crasher. Looks very well done and as close as you can get without a dedicated new mold. Same group previously did a loose Cykill update using their Wreck-Gar mold. It's about $90 though.

But even if this MR line gets that toy design it'll never have the right head, and maybe not even the right colors.

Anybody else looking to get the Action Toys Machine Robo figures? I posted this here because I wasn't sure where to put this? I pre-ordered all four and hope they make more of these. They are offering 3 Renegades and 1 Guardian:

    Renegades:
    Cy-Kill (Motorcycle) Renegade Leader
    Tank (Sci-Fi Space Tank)
    Screwhead (Sci-Fi Drill Tank)

    Guardians:
Leader-1 (Fighter Jet) Guardian Leader, has toy head and not cartoon head but some 3rd party can probably fix that down the road as well as Reprolabels giving us cartoon accurate details.

These guys are 5 inches in size but come with stands, weapons, and modern "Transformers" level of articulation.

Nope, I am passing on them. I am not totally satisfied with their look.
