King Hiss - One of my favorite characters as a kid, but for whatever reason I am just not enjoying any of the Classics Snakemen, and Hiss is no exception.

Adora - No attachment to the character, so I won't go out of my way to get her. Your pictures are fantastic. Bow is checking out the caboose.

Orko - Pretty much a perfect representation of the character!

Mekanek - I wish he had some 200X style representation, like green goggles, or the triangle on his belt, or that version of the weapon, or something. I'm tempted to call him boring, but the super neck extension is so incredible. I love having him tower above the battlefield.

Roboto - My relative dislike for this figure breaks my heart. As a kid I adored this figure. 200X was a great update. Some hated the anime boots, but I thought they worked with the character. I don't care about the reversed shoulders, and apparently some people have had his chest crack; this has not happened to me. My problem is with how sloppy he looks. My Roboto's left hand looks melted or something. I've seen a review online that had the same issue. The black details on the legs look terrible. It looks like someone drew them on with a sharpie instead of being painted on. I don't know if it's technically a black wash, but whatever you call it, it came off so sloppy.

    Mosquitor

The real issue, if any, with Mosquitor is the head sculpt – it just appears to be lacking needed details. It’s not that it’s bad, it just really could have been done a little better. Otherwise, the figure is great. I love the addition of the “legs” on the back and despite not having actual blood in the chest (which would have been preferred by most, I think), I like the compromise and think the “blood chest”with all its veins and details looks fantastic.

    Blood is good.

B/c Roboto's shoulders were sculpted to match the sculpt of the socket, the backwards shoulders rub against it, stressing it and eventually causes cracks in the torso. There are a lot of cracked robotos out there. Also they never thought to make both of his hands removable. They fixed that with Horde Prime though, and once again it's 'better late than never'. Those two things get a big thumbs down from me, so I'd love to see a 2.0 version.
Love the shots of Roboto, and even the ones of Mosquitor, who I skipped. The one of him by the creek is perfect.

I may not have liked the Evil Horde when I was a kid but there was something about the Snake Men that I enjoyed. King Hssss was my favorite from this faction just because it was gruesome-cool to shred off his skin and reveal that twisted snake form. He also reminded me of a fun cross between Zartan and Serpentor from GI Joe, another classic franchise that I loved. I only recently saw the 200X version of Hssss but I'm much happier with the vintage update. That devious smile is perfect and reminds me of those wicked childhood days when he'd pretend to be He-Man's friend and then try to eat the Heroic Warriors!

Adora is one of the most gorgeous MOTUC figures made and your pics prove it! I never thought I'd want Adora in my collection but after becoming a fan of POP last year, I can only imagine how satisfying it was for fans to finally have her. I agree that the "granny panties" is a bit of a downer but otherwise, she's a faithful representation of her Filmation look and one of my favorite figures. I love the shots of the entire royal family. I often switch Adora back to Eternia just because I like how the whole family looks together!

Shadow Beasts, those damned dirty Shadow Beasts! Sigh, why'd you do this photo shoot, RockinHard? I'd forgotten how much I want to get extras of these beasts! I didn't think I'd like them but they do remind me of some classic Filmation goodness. I can almost hear that shrill shrieking that they reused for so many monsters in the series. I agree that those massive clubs are almost a danger to themselves but I like how they look. I only have one lonely Shadow Beast but these pics remind me why I want a small group of them, I really like how they look with Count Marzo. Classic vintage villains are cool but the sheer size and look of these behemoths give MOTUC the Frank Frazzeta-esque vibe of a wild and savage Eternia!

Ok, still not caught up yet but I'm getting there, heheh! Great pics, though...I look forward to seeing more!

I haven't had any issues with Roboto. I've moved the figure a lot.

Mek is one of my top ten favorites, Adora is nice, I like her, but he lack of posterior is a negative....the rest of her however very nicely done.

Mosquitor is not a favorite of mine, and mostly because of the head, I wish they included a second head, because it looks as if the Mosquito part is a sort of helmet over a bug face, that would have been cool. I had debated getting him and either leaving him MOSC, or displaying him with the HP comic head....I dunno....I do like the body design, I don't like 200X much, but I would have loved to see those tanks, like they did with Stinkor. I'm not against 200X hints and inspiration on Classics figures, I just don't like the style. I am glad they went the route they did with Mantenna, sort of Filmation meets 200X, as Mantenna is the only 200X figure / staction I like.

I used to have Hiss, he was OK, I would have preferred a more fuller Snake torso for my liking, but the Human form looks decent enough, the Snake torso, is lacking though, and just looks as if it just sitting on his waist instead of protruding from it, at least the Vintage had that look, a pattern the shape of the snakes molded into the top of the belt line would have solved this by adding depth and shadow.

    - - - Updated - - -

Actually I had thought of getting him, just to display in the Human form, and forget the snake part.

Shocked by Mosquitor's position and Pixel Dan will not be pleased!

Seriously though, I think this is one of the Top 10 in the line for me. Near perfection!

    Spikor

There is something just a little off about Spikor. I was not terribly impressed with the figure when it was revealed as I should have been, as there is a lack of pure awesomeness I’ve come to generally expect from the Horsemen when it comes to such a cool character. Don’t misread, the paint apps and everything is great on Spikor (and no, mine does not have the beady or lazy eye), including the mace and the detachable trident pieces. Yet, I can’t help but miss the action feature over the attachable trident pieces, and as said, the figure overall lacks that “DAAAAAMN” factor that the figures in my top ten have.

I originally didn't want Spikor, I didn't have him as a kid, and thought nah, forget it, then I bought him on impulse, and once I got him I liked him, I had him sealed for months, but once I opened him and I realized that 2 spikes kept his arms from going down further, I got rid of them, and now, he's one I like. He's kind of further down on my list, because there are others I just simply like more, but overall, he's a great figure, and mine only has 2 small Blastic spots on his left shoulder that are almost hidden by the armor, and one where the knee joint pulled a light coat off, I could color match, like I did with Grayskullman, but his is not noticeable, where CGm's spot was.

Spikor is awesome, but not higher on my list than Mosquitor or Mechaneck! My Roboto is a "battle damaged" version but that's ok with me at the moment as it seems non-battle damaged are rare . Great pics and thanks again. Top 30 just around the corner!!!!

    Vikor

This figure turned out to be more awesome than I could have ever imagined. The weapons, the helmet, face sculpt, tattered loin cloth, and the chains hanging from its bracers – all incredible. The only flaws of this figure are 1) the rug/cape that is absolutely rock-hard and has almost no give or flexibility to it; as a result, some poses and articulation is a bit hindered, which is unfortunate, and 2) the head has limited mobility due to the figure’s hair sculpt. Otherwise, a surprisingly good figure.

Apparently my hair super-hold hair gel has also covered my cape!

Mekaneck has become one of my favorite characters, and the MOTUC version is pretty much perfect. Vikor and Mosquitor are also fantastically awesome. Vikor looks like he would collect some skulls after a battle, and Mosquitor looks completely alien and cool.

Spikor is a meh figure for me. I was never hot on the vintage figure either. Purple porcupine with child-safe spikes. Pass.

Roboto is too defective to be up this high IMO, what with his cracking chest piece and backwards shoulders.

    Castle Grayskullman

The hair. The hair I don’t like. I understand that it’s supposed to re-create that 80’s vibe, and I suppose on that level it works. But I still don’t like it. I think the figure would have been perfect had it had some alternative design choice in that area. Otherwise, I love the idea of the character and find the figure to be excellent. The facial sculpt to mimic the castle is outstanding and so are the accessories. It also looks realllly cool inside or outside Castle Grayskull!

Vikor: Easily one of the top 5 figures in the line. I can't believe you have him that low
Only problem is the hard plastic pieces you mentioned. The hair in particular gets on my nerves.

CG Man: I'd put him in the top 10 figures in the line, and one of the best motu figures/concepts ever made.
Can't say I mind the hair at all.

Only problem with the hair on CGM is that they went with yellow instead of white as was the original design. really, really poor design choice on that. Otherwise the hair works fine.

    Buzz-Off

This figure was updated beautifully. I have always loved Buzz-Off and feel the added details, such as the tentacles below the wings, the detailing on the wings, and the much-improved removable mask (that actually fits over the face and stays on this time around!) make this figure near-perfect. The fact that Buzz-Off can actually hold his classic axe, and the new axe as well, is also a huge plus. The only aspect I would have potentially liked to have seen changed is the mouth sculpt – perhaps a little less smirk, though the Horsemen did tone it down some anyway. I love the figure.

So I got a little smirk. Let's just say I'm a little high on honey and leave it at that.

Buzz Off! Never one of my fav's as a kid, however I really like the Classics update. I agree that is nice that he can hold his weapons and that the mask fits properly. Good choice to start the top 30!

    Griffn

The only issue with the Griffin is that it’s probably a little on the small size, scale-wise. Otherwise, fantastic sculpt, with the face and beak being the highlight. I am also very happy Mattel listened to the customers and corrected the paint job to what it is now compared to what the prototype paint master. The Swiftwind wings also work well on the figure (and actually work better, as my three(!) Griffins’ wings stay in fine). Very pleasantly surprised with the Griffin(s), something I was NOT even initially wanting.

    I'm big in spirit.
