I'm very glad to see Whiplash and Beastman in the top ten.

I've said many times that Beastman is a very underrated figure and I believe it's because he came out so early in the line he gets forgotten.

Whiplash is either my third or fourth favorite figure in the line. Both him and Rattlor are fighting over those two spots.

Whiplash is such a beautiful figure, ahd his face sculpt is amazing.

Catra is very nice as well.

    Man-at-Arms

I still remain blown away by Man-at-Arms. I thought the vintage figure was a little boring and always wanted the mustached head. With this figure, we get the cardback head AND the mustached head, and both look great. The mace looks good, and the armor remains some of the most detailed armor in the line, with the genius inclusion of the arsenal holder on the back and weapons specifically for it pushes the figure into awesome territory.

    Bringing mustache back.

YES! MAA always needed his stache!!! So glad they went the two head route. That with the added details makes him that much more awesome!

    Flipshot (aka Icarius)

Most people probably wouldn’t place him in the top 10, but there is little doubt that some serious love went into this figure. So many newly and nicely sculpted parts, great paint job, two heads, removable missiles and jet pack, removeable/adjustable visor – this figure is fantastic and upgrades that vintage figure marvelously, seriously adding a lot to like and admire. The only misstep perhaps would be that the jet pack causes the figure to be a little top-heavy and makes Flipshot a bit hard to stand in certain poses, but otherwise, this figure is a knockout.

    Val K. goes into space!

I so agree i knew the Space Mutants would be awesome when updated to Classics but if all the Galactic Guardians are done as well as what Flipshot was they could be one amazing faction!

Whew, I still made it in time to see the Top Ten today...Great pics, as usual! Sigh, I'm really behind on my regular figure-by-figure commentary (I'm just jumping in during a short break at work...Busy, busy!) but I'll try to catch up ASAP!

MAA is truly great. I love the attention to detail on his armor. One of the best Classics figures that came from the original 8 back.

Flipshot is a smart action figure, fair enough. I couldn't care less about NA stuff though.

I agree that Whiplash is a top-tier figure, but I disagree of your assessment of the 200X head. I think it looks fantastic on him. It's all in the figures posture. Hips forward, shoulders slouched, arms relaxed, chin down. The 200X head has SWAGGER. #yolo I'd take a pic but I can't compete with your style!

I need Beastman. Perfect execution. I think objectively he has to be the number one figure in the line.

Catra's face sculpt looks too old. I think they were going for old Disney witches or something, but she looks a little too haggard.

Man At Arms is fantastic. I choose to display Snake MAA with Duncan's head on because I prefer the, um, "under armor" look and the blue air tank. But the figure is all about the armor detail. The sculpt and the accessories are perfect. My original MAA donated his buck to Vykron's space ace gear. It looks surprisingly good next to other palace guards.

You made me like another figure I didn't think I cared about in Flipshot there. Awesome texture on his arms and legs. Don't take that out of context. Does he really only have one glove?

I have so many more comments on so many more figures that I missed. In a way I am sad that this is drawing to a close.

Hey Rockin' this has been one crazy awesome thread. One question though...no love for the heart emblem on Bow?

Whiplash! Nice to see him get such a high ranking.
Icarius - anyone who wouldn't rank him in the top 10 is doing so out of personal bias. He's one of the best, period. Looking forward to see what they do with Hydron.
Now we come to a divergence of opinion... I don't think Catra is even close to being top 10 material. Definitely not better than Bow or Fisto. (I'd rank Fisto #1, and Bow top 5). She's a nice figure, but I'd actually swap places with Evil-Lyn in this list. Catra's a bit awkward with the loose cape and the heavy hair, and her accessories aren't all that great. However I still like her, and have a feeling she'll be the only non-vintage Horde member I'll end up keeping, as I continue to trim the fat.
Beast Man is...well, Beast Man. An 8-back icon, and yes a great figure that's overlooked due to his early release. I'd love to get a second as mine has gotten loose over time, but the secondary market prices are insane. Says a lot for a figure that's been sold several times.
MAA--I don't know, I wouldn't rank him top 10, but he's great. I think Snake MAA is the superior figure tbh, although the cardback is my preferred look.

    Battle Cat

Battle Cat has one of the best sculpts in the line. From the fierce head sculpt and amazingly detailed jaw/mouth to the bottom of the paws, Battle Cat is a marvel. The vintage Battle Cat was nothing more than a block of static plastic. Even as a child, the lack of articulation annoyed me, but now that is more than made up for: this Classics version is chock full of articulation. The hinged jaw just sends make it all the better, too. Though sometimes a standard figure’s weight while mounted on Battle Cat can make it give a little too much, it is nonetheless a triumph and is the definitive Battle Cat figure.

Now he's a ferocious fighting tiger!

Yeah, no love for the heart apparently . . . at least until perhaps the second version of this thread down the road . . .

    Granamyr

Nothing like Granamyr has been produced in this line. This thing is awesome. It’s huge, it’s articulated, is a long-requested character finally come to fruition, pretty darn good sculpt (particularly the face/head) and is just plain bad-ass. Though there have been some reports of quality control issues, there are no problems/issues with mine. I can even get mine to stand. It is a fantastic, awe-inducing figure.

    Grumpy old dragon?

Battle Cat, in terms of sculpt and paint, is pure perfection. I think he's maybe a little over articulated. It makes him a bit challenging to pose with four legs. But with a beast that awesome you can't really complain.

I use one of those plastic straps that come with the figures. I put it around his waist and his belt ornament. It's barely noticable and Mer-Man's armor stays strapped down in place.

I see Rockin' keeps Bow's cord in the back. I folded it down around his quiver.

I didn't think of that...duh, I used a band on Grayskullman to hold his second sword like a sheath....took the armor off, and wrapped it around the back part of it, so you never see it from the front.

And on the other side of the coin....they glued the friggin armor together on the TRU Zodac....
