I couldnt disagree more, I love the colors on SwiftWind. I think he turned out really well. I cant wait to display him flying through the air with Modified She-Ra riding on his back.

I'm really not into She-Ra at all, but I have to admit that Swiftwind figure looks pretty awesome.

Whereas DB Skeletor is riddled with the ugliest blastic issues (mine was badly affected, plus the minicomic came half-unprinted on top of that) and the design of the dragon left something to be desired.
Personally I was really looking forward to seeing what the 4H would do with DB skelly, but that dragon mouth sculpt is just horrible IMO. Way too many large teeth. The thing couldn't even realisticaly open and close it's mouth. I was expecting a sweet, menacing looking lil dragon, and we got something out of a silly Disney movie. Big big let down for me, I totally passed on it.

    Slushhead

The main issue I take with Slushhead is that Mattel cheapened the figure in regards to its lower half. If we compare it to the vintage figure, it’s obvious that Mattel took cost-reducing liberties in this department, as the Classics version does not share the same unique sculpt and instead shares parts from other figures. Also, another issue I have is that the tentacles do not stay attached on mine, but simply fall down or out of their connector. Therefore, it’s almost impossible to pose/move them and have them stay in place. The torso, however, is quite nice, with a very nicely sculpted head and armor piece (though the face through that clear plastic helmet is difficult to photograph!). The option and ability to fill the water dome with water is a nice addition as well.

I'll grab ya if I my attachments don't fall out first!

wow, i would've had slushhead ranked higher than The faceless one, snout spout, Battle Armor Randor, Dekker, Mossman, Optikk and Megator. But that's what makes this thread so interesting. kinda like ranking top 100 video games, or movies etc. keep it up bro.

Slush Head is my favorite NA figure made to date. New Adventures was something that I was going to completely ignore and I held off from picking up Icarius and Optikk until the end. I never heard about He-Man's space adventures in the future and, at first glance, I was kinda glad I didn't. However, I wanted to look at all the canons of MOTU, especially when it came to animation, and finally gave NA a chance. Sure, it was different, but I felt it kept true to a lot of core values that makes He-Man who he is. Also, it was neat to see NA as the first He-Man cartoon that kept a continuous narrative and storyline. Jack Olesker's insights here on the forums also sheds a lot of light into the creative process and goals that went into this series. That made me appreciate the series more. I just got the complete DVD sets of NA for Christmas and I plan on watching the whole series soon.

From what I've seen so far, Slush Head is one of the major NA characters and a must-have. He's like the Beast-Man of the Evil Mutants and I think the 4H captured the look of him perfectly. The bio only describes him as a dimwitted thug but in the Jetlag series, he had a silly charm to him. Seeing Slush Head try to act diplomatic as Flogg's "Ambassador of Peace" is one of the funniest things I've seen in MOTU. You're right about one thing, though...Those tentacles have a hard time staying in place!

I'm suggesting that the Filmation colors should have been muted. Too gaudy for my tastes.

    Cy-Chop

A figure that has been ridiculed and bashed, and I’m not really sure why other than he is a newer character and was never desired beforehand. Personally, I think Cy-Chop has a unique, ambitious design. I like the “guts” seen inside his chest, and the head sculpt isn’t bad at all. I like how he can be turned into a Horde member just by adding or subtracting a belt. Nonetheless, one of the main flaws of the figure is the strange design choice to use the “beast” legs and arms, which doesn’t seem to match the rest of his look (maybe the character was some type of beast before being meshed into a robot?). Another flaw is that the scissor hands are a little too large and seem to be in the way of posing at times, looking too out of proportion with the rest of the figure.

I cut my own hair, grass, paper, you name it.

Cy-Chop would be the dead last figure in my complete line ranking, preceded by SLL & Spector.

Vykron & Megator are also bottom tier to me. As well as a few more I can't think of at the moment.
    Recent....Spirit of Hordak
    Coming....Octavia
Wanted....Filmation Hordak & Clawful, Seahawk, Castaspella, Batros & Icer
    Considering....Mosquitor, Leech
    Needed....Dragstor, Mantenna,Two Bad & Attack Trak

Picker, now subscriber....go figure....but still very much a picker....

Cy-Chop is a great figure. Agree about the scissors, I would have preferred them smaller. Disagree about the beast man parts, I think they work great.

Slush-head has a major flaw in an unmovable dome. I broke mine to move it. The tentacles also suck. He still looks neat though. Really nice photos of him there.

I would have liked it removable as well. I wouldn't break into it, though! Those tentacles are horrible. Won't stay in for anything. I glued mine in - and they still want to come out!

Not a fan of Slushead or Cy-Chop myself. Cy-Chop's enormous scissors were what killed the figure for me. Had they been smaller, I woulda be excited to own him but as is it was an easy pass. As far as NA....not in my cannon so I've passed on all of them. Some look pretty cool, but they just don't fit in with what I'm doing display wise. Slushhead kinda has that creature from the Black Lagoon thing going for him which isn't a bad thing, but as I mentioned...limited space and too many other guys to collect at the moment. Can't wait to see what's coming up! This is one of my favorite threads on the board!

Cy-Chop is also at the bottom of my list, I just can't get into his weird design. He's the only 2012 figure I really felt like skipping but I added him to my cart at the last minute. I knew I'd eventually buy him so I bit the bullet and got him directly from Matty to support MOTUC, if nothing else.

Just look at him; Blue beast limbs with Roboto chest, exposed guts, silver horned head, and those over-sized anime scissor hands...Cy-Chop's design is just such a mess! Does he drag those scissors around or hopscotch about as if he were on crutches? I'd get tired of holding up those things. I'll give Cy-Chop this much: Aligning him with the Horde is the only thing that works for me. Snout Spout and Dragstor are also pretty bizarre and make me wonder if I'd also reject them if they were new characters in 2012. MOTU figures got kinda weird towards the end of their run so perhaps Cy-Chop would've been ok back in the 80's. So I guess I'll let him hang out in the Fright Zone...But I don't have to like it, heheh!

It's official, though, Hordak is seriously demented. The Horde has always been a nightmarish group but Hordak's twisted creations take the cake!

    Faceless One

Actually, this Faceless One kind of has a face, which is a bit of a disappointment. There are more facial features present than there should be if we are using the 200x cartoon as source material for the character. The figure also has the unfortunate design choice of having its entire torso armor resting on the figure’s shoulders, which, consequently easily comes off AND prevents full shoulder/arm rotation. And without the armor, the figure just looks plain absurd. The inclusion of a skirt piece (as seen in the cartoon) would have been ideal and appreciated as well, since so much of the feet/legs showing, as the figure currently does, is a bit of a new, somewhat surprising direction to take. Nevertheless, the figure’s sculpt IS outstanding and the inclusion of the Ram Stone is a nice accessory to include.

    Actually, I have a face . . . and I do not float.

I doubt it makes a difference on this figure, but him having legs isn't new. He had legs in the cartoon as well.

Ah, interesting. I didn't realize he was ever shown with legs. I edited the review a bit to reflect this. Though, still, they could have included the skirt piece. And thanks for the compliment. Keep posting!

I share your disappointment in the Faceless one. The face features and the armor limiting the articulation really take away from the figure for me.

Yeah, the Faceless One looks cool...Until you pose his arms and his armor moves around. I also agree that for someone who's supposed to be faceless, he's got too much facial sculpting. You can practically see the disapproval of Evil-Lyn's choice of boyfriends, heheh! I recall reading his bio and thinking, "That's Evil Lyn's dad? When did this happen?!" While I'm not a big fan of the 200X style, I appreciate that the series introduced a lot of continuity and backstories to the MOTU universe. Extra characters like the Faceless One aren't essential but they definitely enrich the mythos and the MOTUC line!

I'd like the Faceless One sooo much better if the darn armor didn't come off so easily. Every time I go to move him I forget and grab him by the armor, thus making it come off and he falls over...most of the time causing a domino effect taking out about 5 other figures.

lol @ the only pose he can really do
Even the head gets obscured if you turn it one way or the other. Great looking figure, but more like a statue due to his armor. I usually pose him with his havoc staff as well.

Check out this fix for the Faceless one's cape:

    Very simple and works great!
