What's a good price for a complete set of vintage ...

I want to buy a vintage loose complete set of figures from a dude for series I, II and III for a total of 28 figures all in good condition (little to no wear and all can stand by themselves). Is $755 too much for the complete set shipped? Breaks down to about $28 a piece ... Is this a fair price or too much or too little?

Remember its one complete purchase instead of hunting them down 1 at a time and then having to find those missing accessories. Bottom line is ... Is this a deal or a rip? I value all of your opinions so lay them on as heavy as you want. Thanks in advance for all of your feedback

Well, you'll miss out on the fun of the actual collecting & hunting of your loose collection.
It took me approx 1 year to get everything complete. (still missing trapjaw's ring & hook though)

Pricewise, i'd also pass. The first three waves do not include many rare/uncommon figures, except for Faker & a complete Trapjaw. Other figures like Buzz-Off, Kobra Khan, Moss Man, Clawful, Fisto can be easily scored for a few bucks each.

i'd have to agree, for a loose collection it's a bit pricey.

if you were talking about the final waves like Scareglow, twistoid, rotar.. etc.. i could see this price range.. but again most of those first waves other then He-man as well who can fetch a pretty penny in Mint loose shape are mostly 5-10 dollar figures.

again it all comes down to what someone is willing to pay? and if you are willing to pay for the ease factor of not having to hunt down each figure in Mint shape then by all means.

but everyone is willing to pay a different price so to say it's bad or good is really to be taken with a grain of salt. If it's what your looking for, go for it

Last year I spent roughly $600 hunting down a vintage collection.....and that included all three castles, a bunch of vehicles, and complete later figures like the Sorceress, King Randor, Scareglow, Snake Face, and the movie trio (every figure except the twistoids, Blast Attak, Clamp Champ, and FF He-man/TC Skeletor to be exact). To me the price you quoted seems really high unless there is more included than just a figure. I found lots of early figures to be extremely inexpensive, especially if you bought them in lots. Well, to be honest the breakdown actually went like this:

First Waive i think i paid the most for $405 = about $45 each, pretty pricey i know:
He-Man
Skeletor
Teela
Man-At-Arms
Faker
Stratos
Beastman
Zodac
Mer-Man

Second Wave - only contained these 6 figures and i paid $80 = $14 each:
Trapjaw
Tri-Klops
Mekaneck
Man-E-Faces
Teela
Ram Man

Third Wave had the most figures in it totaling 12 which i paid $255 = $21.50 each:
BA He-Man
BA Skeletor
Prince Adam
Orko
Fisto
Kobra Khan
Clawful
Jitsu
Whiplash
Webstor
Stinkor
Buzz Off

not sure how much these all go for loose and complete but being as im a long time lover/player and new collector of Vintage MOTU MOC/loose and MOTUC MOC/loose, i wanted to jumpstart my vintage loose collection while i focus on the MOC's. I guess i did pay too much but ever since i saw the classics line ... i feel in love, so frikin cool and now i can focus on my vintage MOC and my Classics MOC and loose while still trying to get the other vintage waves on both loose and MOC.
To be honest, i dont really like a lot of the the 4th and 5th wave, its not till the 6th that my desire really kicks back in. I think now that i have the first three waves done, i will work backwards and start collecting the 6th wave and then 5th and then 4th. Thanks for your input guys, i feel like a bit of a sucker now ... One last question though:

Which of the three waves did i do the best and worst on? You guys obviously have more experience in this than i do and again, your input in extremely valued to me, so thank you for continuing to help me as i am a new collector and understand i already made my first mistake.

as for value of the waves.

14 each is a good price!!!

i would say the 45 each was the heavier hit and maybe in the range of 15-20 other than He-man and Faker who go for a bit more..

but enjoy non the less!
