Just watched my first NA episode.

Curious and interested in the classics NA figures, I finally checked out episode 1. And y'know, I loved it! NA may have just won over a fan today! Any stand out episodes I should watch next?

I'd suggest you go through it episode by episode as it's a continuing storyline.

You might also be interested in hearing this masterscast interview in which I provide a lot of behind-the-scenes information about the series:

Thanks for being a potential fan.

Just saw an awesome!! episode last nite. Everyone was telling the same story from their own point of view- Flipshot, Slushy, etc... Very tight script and very funny. Not sure of the title though...

As I've said many times, I was not aware of the comics until I came on the he-man.org board. For whatever reason, Mattel chose not to make me aware of the comics when they made the initial toyline presentation to me, preferring me to come up with my own way of making the storyline work.

To MLHumble: you are referring to the thirty-eighth episode, FOUR WAYS TO SUNDOWN. I appreciate your praise. I crafted the episode as a send-up of RASHOMON, in an effort to make a tribute to one of my favorite directors, Akira Kurosawa.

When I write many episodes of a series I sometimes indulge in doing a bit of an homage to my favorite directors. Another time I did this was for an episode of SUPER MARIO BROTHERS entitled KOOPA KLAUS, in which I wrote a subtle parody of CITIZEN KANE. A reviewer carefully and adeptly analyzed the effort in this article: http://smichaelbrady.hubpages.com/hu...d-Citizen-Kane

Not everyone is a rabid student of entertainment history, so not everyone gets it when I do this. But that's okay. Some things you just do for yourself, hoping at the same time that others just enjoy your work.

Those episodes were in addition to the series bible that I wrote for NA. Regrettably, although I also wrote the original series bible for MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS, I didn't write any episodes of that series because by the time POWER RANGERS was picked up for broadcast I was deeply involved in NA.

Also, here's a very small list of other series I've worked on: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0646323/f...ries#tt0203269

My work for adults is very different. My six novels run the gamut from murder mysteries to horror, such as:

    http://www.amazon.com/Confessional-J.../dp/0843929499

    and

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/NO-PLACE-LIK...-/370391768733

I see you're a Chicago guy. I lived there for thirty years before moving to L.A. (Now living across the lake from you in a secret village carved from a forest on the shores of Lake Michigan. Anyway, NO PLACE LIKE HOME was my first novel -- about a killer living in a Chicago highrise. (I lived in Lake Point Tower for many years and patterned the building in my novel after it.) The book's out of print, but is available inexpensively on e-bay and through many out-of-print on-line bookstores. MGM purcased the film rights from me and tat basically launched my career. Lots of Chicago stuff in it, circa1970s, so you might enjoy it.

CONFESSIONAL was a very different kind of novel for me -- heavy horror. It was pretty frightening to write, but I think it came out quite well. If you like the horror genre you'll find it a good read and a page-turner (he said a bit immodestly .) Read it at night and you may find it as difficult to sleep during your reading of it as I did whilst I was writing it.

    Best,

    Jack

    Hey there guys,
On the side I paint pop-culture commissions... Usually T-shirts. I have some galleries and threads on the Fan Art sections. Oh, and Pixel-Dan wore one of mine in his newest batch of reviews!
Anyway, I'm finally getting around to doing one for me. So since I am newly obsessed with NA, my shirt will be NA themed. Just did the sketch and will start painting soon...
UPDATE: Slush Head. I went with the 4H design, but I love the cartoon look just as well.
    UPDATE: That crazy NA Skeletor.
    UPDATE: Flogg in the house.
    UPDATE: Aaaand Optikk!

I didn't even know NA existed until I joined the forums, but since then I got the series on DVD and it's certainly not without it's own merrits. I'm really into the base idea of the show of He-Man being drawn out of the past into the distant future. Some of my favorite episodes were from the later part of the series with "You're In The Army Now" and just about every episode from "Balance of Power" onwards.

I guess they wanted to continue the tradition of the right hand not knowing what the left was doing in regards to He-man's continuity Then again, time travel is involved, so I guess it makes sense that we have different versions, one in which Skeletor found out adam's identity and one without.

I never got around to reading the international NA comics. Are the Bastei translations of the UK stuff or do they differ?

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments" (Matthew 22:36-40).
