Filmation MOTU Episode and Universe guide

I thought the episode and universe guide was perfect on the old site. Any chance of bringing that back and just let people edit from that point rather than start from scratch on it? I enjoyed being able to click on a character and finding all the episodes he appeared in right away.

exactly! i just checked the episode guide for the 1st time today since the new site, and it was so much better to get a list of character names who appeared in each episode and also like you said, to click on someone and find all the episodes they appeared in.

It all boils down to someone willing to copy those from the old site.
Anybody can do that
In the ecncyclopedia, you just add a Related link in the profile and link the character to the episode in the cartoon guide.
In cartoons, you add a Related item and link to the characters in the encyclopedia.
More info are in the Site Help page and the old site is still visible at http://old.he-man.org, you can use it to copy the info to the new one
your help is greatly appreciated! The new site needs more fans actively building the content.

As long as I can keep getting to it via http://old.he-man.org, I'll be satisfied with that. Unfortunately, you have a bad link on that page and when you click on Cartoons, it goes to the new cartoon section, not the old one.

old.he-man.org is just up temporarily.
So any and all help moving the content is what we all need right now!

If it's there, and not on the site, please upload it to the new site! please, please, please!!!

Also, link where harcoded in the html in the old site, so even if the domain is old.he-man.org all the links are pointing to www.
That's why they don't work.
BUT, you just need to chage the "www." to "old." in any of the links, and they will work fine. There was no reason to fix those as the old.he-man.org is just a temporary archive of the old site. It is there just so people can move content to the new one. Once done, it will be gone for good!

and since we aren't members of the royal family we don't have access to the archives

That royal family thing just means there's nothing there.
It was just meant as a joke, it's not an actual special access thing.

Since it mostly javascript, you shouldn't have problems moving within sections, but if you encounter any look up the link's URLs first and add the "old."
That should solve the problem

I know that Val, I was just being a wise guy. That was exactly my point, nothing is there. I'm trying to get to the page that links to the four cartoon series, Power of the Evil horde, He-Ro bible, Series Guide and the Series Bible. What happened to the cartoon section page that linked to those things?

My TV is on in the background as I type, and the voice of 2003's Prince Adam was just trying to sell something. Kinda felt like I'm in a twilight zone episode for that to pop up while I'm posting on the .Org

It should be like what Emiliano is saying, where if there's a link to a www.he-man.org section, it may need to be replaced with old.he-man.org if it's for an old section.
Not all links were updated, since there's a lot of manual programming there in the old site.
There were also some funky javascript problems as he pointed out.
But everything should be accessible by just replacing links.

You know it dawns on me I have the old Power of the Evil Horde audio files somewhere in the bowls of my external hard drive. I'll search for em and upload em to the new .Org when I have some more free time. Short supply of that as of late with researching the history of the unpublished He-Man origin story and job hunting in my new home in Ohio! When I do have more free time I'll transfer the series guide, bible and he-ro bible to the new site...Assuming somebody doesn't beat me to the punch...That reminds me, I need to write a new description for the Golden Book "I Have the Power", as the old one is for "The Horde" Golden book...So much to do, so little time to do it all.

How much of the old .org still needs to be transferred? Seams like a lot of work!

I think a fair amount of the old stuff was moved.
Not entirely sure, though. Emiliano and I are buried in work and just have no time to do it.
It's something that, if fans got together and moved it, it would only take a few days tops.
