What kind of figure collector are you (Vintage, POP, NA, etc...)

So I'm curious - what kind of collector are you in terms of eras? I've seen a lot of people (especially with the recent reveals) saying 'I don't collect NA' or any other type of figure. So thought I'd see what folks do and don't collect. Sure I expect things like NA to be lower than Vintage, but let's see how it turns out.
Right or wrong, buying a sub tells Mattel you want more MOTUC figures. Not buying does tells them you don't. Don't let MOTUC end early because you might not like their marketing strategy! Plus polls show you won't regret subbing!

One of the true fan minority - happy MOTU fans!

Y'know, I started off 2013 just wanting one or two of the core figures, but now I'm looking to collect from every genre-the line itself continues to impress me with each new release!

All in. Vintage MOTU/POP/Filmation is the draw of the line but I've enojoyed everything else thats been released. NA has really surprised me as I love all the NA figures they're released. I totally hated NA as a kid!

    Everything!!

I'm the type of MOTU collector who would gladly sub if they had revealed Perfuma, the NA scientists, Celice and Butthead for the first quarter of 2014. If it's MOTU, then it will be mine.

Even though I have a very small collection, I dabble slightly in everything except NA.

Basically, I buy whatever I think is really cool looking, and I tend to lean towards the more 'barbaric/sword and scorcery' looking characters.

Mostly Princess of Power and new characters, but I don't buy everything from either. I didn't bother buying Octavia or Netossa, for example, and only wanted the Shield Maiden of the Fighting Foe Men.

    MOTUC-that is, all of it!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

    Vintage MOTU
    Princess of Power
    Filmation
    Concept Characters
    Completely new characters

I want nothing NA related, unless I find it cool....which as of yet, I have not. Optikk slightly.

200X is not on my list unless it's cool, and I find the 200X elements sprinkled in are better than 100% 200X characters in MOTUC....Griffin aside, I like him.

Mini Comics have never played any role in my MOTU world, so not really interested in characters from them.

The vintage toy line is what I am most interested in. Recently, I've been into the NA figures as well. But, I'll buy just about anything as long as it's cool. I don't especially care for all the girly POP stuff, though.

What's so girly about POP? It's not the 80's anymore, the figures are no girlier than Teela, they all look cool to me so far. They aren't dolls anymore, they are exactly the same as He-Man & Teela. Only thing is it's almost all girls, that is the only difference, and to me, that matters not.

Are you kidding? Just because they're not dolls doesn't make the concepts any less girly, especially some of the stuff that hasn't come out yet. Flutterina anyone? Kowl? Peek a Blue? Doesn't mean there aren't some cool POP figures, but it's definitely girly.

To clarify: Not all POP stuff is girly, but the girly stuff is a def turn off to me for the POP figures. My favourite POP figures are the ones that could have been in Masters - Frosta, She Ra, Tallstar, etc. Nothing currently out there is especially bad, but there is def some girliness, and I look at some of the characters people clammer for and they do nothing for me. Even still, most POP stuff doesn't do it for me either way. Female figures of any line usually don't interest me much.

I do like the prototype characters like He-Ro, Star Sisters, Gygor, Eldor and Mara though so have and will collect them. The only other characters that I have made exceptions for have been Draego-Man, Optikk, Ditztroyer and Keldor.
