    Head swapping

    Please help me!
    I have two Peekablue figures, one with damaged head, but with well preserved paint on the body and the other with worn paint on some places.
    Is it possible to change heads on these (so I could get the one which is perfect) without damaging the figure, or it is much safer not to do that?

    I change figure heads all the time when customizing, so you should have no problem.

    You make vintage POP customs?

    There are so many people making custom figures of MOTUC and MOTU vinatge, but haven't seen much of POP customs. I am planing to make my first POP female custom form one of those Peekablue figures, but I am afraid of damaging head/neck joint because i don't know how to replace them. Is it possible to make a new neck button if the one is broken?
    Are you using a hair dryer to heat up the head?

    I found this page with different methods for dolls, is this gonna work for POP figures/dolls with swivel heads?

    Cool! Are these new characters or redesigns?

    I can't decide which character to do, this bubble girl from Bubble Carriage (probably the early concept of a character which was later merged with She-Ra to make Bubble Power She-Ra)


    Or to make Starla based on prototype, which had resculpted body of Peekablue:

    Mine are just redesigns...learning to work with paint and which sealers are better than others.

    I love the Starla pic ... I agree with zodak74 that you should totally go for that one!

    Never mind about clear answers, it is possible, and can be done very easily.
    But when figures (two Peekablue) arrived I saw that figure with better paint has damaged neck, so there was no head swapping, I just repaired the damaged figure and start making Starla from it...

    I've never had an issue swapping the swivel heads. As long as the swivel peg in there isn't broken, it seems to go pretty well. Very much like Barbie.

    Mantisaur, I love the re-root you're doing! The gold strands in with the yellow are really nice.

    I have no experience with Barbie and dolls in general so I was afraid of the unknown articulations...but it's fine now and I believe I will make more POP customs in future.

    It seems that on both prototypes of Starla and Tallstar there are silver strands, that's why I decided to follow the photos even if I think that gold would look better for Starla.
