    Shocker Toys customer service is a JOKE

    I ordered 3 figures from them on JUN 14 2010. I was told they would ship the week after SDCC. I still don't have them.

    I've been going back and forth with their customer service through email for this entire time. They told me that the order would be fulfilled soon and that in the meantime if I got tired of waiting I could request a refund and would have it in 30 days.

    I have a copy of every email since JUN 14. Plus a screenshot of my original paypal receipt.

    I was told many times the figures would ship out in a month or ship out in two weeks or just bare with us a little longer. I was promised a free figure for my trouble waiting, but didn't receive that either.

    Finally I tire of endless empty promises and have requested a refund. I get a reply that says:

    Hello David,

    Shocker Toys Limited Liability Company has recently come under new management and is restructuring. All refunds and orders are being placed in a new system and refunds will be given within 30 days. You have been added to the refund list and updated in our new system. We thank you for your patience and if there is any way we can get you to come back as a customer with this newly structured company please let us know.

    So my question is - if they are so "newly structured" and it is implied that things will now be running smoother - why has my refund I requested on OCT 3 STILL NOT PROCESSED?

    Hint: The answer is in the title of this thread. These guys almost make Matty's customer service look like pros!

    I have reported them to the BBB as I told them I would if my refund did not arrive in 30 days.

    Be wary of ordering product from them...

    I don't know specifics, but all I've ever heard about Shocker follows those same lines - inability to deliver product and ridiculous customer relations. Apparently the owner has even gone after blogs, trying to shut down negative comments.

    It's always possible Ron Whitman isn't even a real person, and instead is Geoff himself. Logically speaking, I have no idea why anyone would try to restructure a company that has had almost zero success at getting any toys out in a timely fashion, let alone toys that are of high quality.

    Heh. Yeah they did. I'm a long time **** Tracy fan. Series two of their action figure line has two versions of **** Tracy plus the Blank was an exclusive. I really did want them. I was stoked to see those characters in 6" figure form. The sculpting and figures were a bit on the plain side, but so was the original comic strip to which I am a fan.

    All this time I have held out hope they would eventually be produced/ship, but I think even my boundless optimism has limits.

    That fact that I was given many reassurances over email helped to string me along. And if the figures do come out at some point I will still want them - but not bad enough to deal with shockertoys again.

    I feel your pain man. It took FOREVER to finally get my Mucus Tick figure from them.

    I've seen this kind of thing with Shocker repeatedly. It's really shame.

    I also know that at SDCC this year, Geoff was served papers in the middle of the Shcoker Toys panel! I don't know if that has anything to do with the supposed "restructure" those e-mails refer to.

    Yup, it took forever to get my Mucus Tick as well and his arm broke off at the elbow only a few days after I got him. I superglued it in place and haven't dared to touch him since.

    Their window to respond to the BB complaint ran out with no reply from Shocker toys.

    They have an forum called Customer Service and site bugs so I posted in there about my refund.

    So they banned me from their forums.

    I re-registered and re-posted. But I doubt at this point they are going to make good on shipping a product or giving a refund. Their company seems like a scam to me and I'm not sure what I can do about it...

    When I look at the complaint area on the forum there are only one or two people asking about the same refund as me. But I could probably safely assume there are hundreds of people with the same problem? I mean I have no way to know anything for a fact but I do know:

    They said these figures would ship 2 weeks after SDCC 2010. And they didn't ship to anyone who ordered them. There must be more than 3 of us demanding a refund? They must be banning people left and right?

    I'm in the same boat as you. I ordered the SDCC 2010 exclusives from them. They did n't ship when they said they would. A year goes by and I recieve this email

    That was August 17, 2010. I saw them this year at WWPhilly and asked when they would be shipping the figures out. They said "Just before we ship out this years exclusives. " They didn't say when they would be shipping those figures out.

    I hate this company, I do. They buy up 1 or 2 good licenses and a lot of stuff no one would ever want to buy, so what happens? 1 Scud, 1 Maxx per case, lots of some figures from comics no one remembers or wants toys of. I saw their Metalocalypse stuff, it was awful in many ways. I do not know how this company is still in business. The only one I know off that's worse than Shocker is First4Figures which got a lot of licenses, released some terrible stuff that was known to break and seemed to vanish, but is still around.

    I've had my account deleted twice now for speaking out about my problem and other members have begun to email me with the same issue, also saying they have had their accounts deleted.

    I'd like to know how many of us there are. I have also issued a complaint with the FTC per another members advice.

    I strongly caution anyone about placing orders with this company. I'd say Shocker Toys is extremely shady at the very best.

    This should be under the category Fraud. There's should be an action regarding this issue, it seems that you're not the only one who experience this, patience wait no longer. Take an action regarding this company and expose towards the court and partnership.

    At one time, I was following this company on a thread on thefwoosh. It got to the stage where shocker toys could no longer be mentioned on the site. That was about 5-6 years ago, if not longer. This company has been useless and have never learnt a thing in all that time. I am surprised they are still in business

    I started a facebook page for people who've had a bad experience with Shocker Toys Please go like it! Spread the word!

    *********EDIT********they deleted it. People were starting to post on my page about their negative experiences and then post about it on shocker toys facebook page too. After less than 24 hours of it going live, Facebook deleted my page with no explanation or even a head's up through an email. I've began leaving shocker toys a daily (polite) voice mail and I've turned them into the FTC and BBB and every scam reporting website I can find, but I still feel like I have no voice. It's very frustrating. People who have gotten a refund from them just keep telling me I can get a refund, but I have to do a lot of work for it.

    I don't know what more I can do.

    Also I've been told the people who posted similar experiences on Shocker Toys facebook page are not banned from posting there just like I am.

    Just like I was banned from their forums for asking about my refund. Not that it matters now because they took their forums down.

    Ok They deleted my facebook page, but I'm trying again with one that facebook might not delete. Please CLICK LIKE!!!

    It's gone again. I didn't use any copyrighted images or anything inappropriate as far as I can see. I read the rules I was clicking to agree to when I created the page. I thought this second page would stick. The first page used the shocker toys logo and I pasted SCAM ALERT across it so I thought it might have been the image. This time I didn't use any images of theirs. Still gone. I wish facebook would just send me an email saying why.

    I need to find a place to have a voice about this and I keep getting shut down everywhere. I had about four people message me, who saw the facebook page saying they had the same problem and I am sure there are more. I've seen other comments on Shocker's page with similar problems too. Most have been deleted, but some haven't.

    It seems Geoff Beckett is trying to raise funds to do another, did they ever do a first (?), of the Indie Spotlight Series.

    I can't believe people are still giving this guy money!!
