i recevied this message from joe on march 13th:
I am about half way done, so I should be finished casting at the end of the month.
So realistically I think they will start shipping mid-April.
Thanks for the info. I wish he would put a general update on his blog though....I have the patience, I just like to have my expecations managed.

I too got the email in mid March about the delay. He has a lot on his plate right now. He's doing some work for the MOTU Icon Heroes line. I have no worries that we'll be getting are sets soon.

He did take a lot of orders...probably more than he could get done in the time he had originally contemplated...but I agree with Bonehead's comment above and I do trust that he will come through eventually.
Again, I still wish there was an update e-mail or twitter or facebook post to let us know what is going on...

So, in conclusion, the wait may be more than anticipated, but have hope that the product will be better than you hoped for. Joe has also recently been very active posting some great pictures of products he's waiting to be officially licensed over in the original Masters of the Universe forum. So I'm sure he'll come through, and the wait will be worth it.

In light of this, I am going to say this.
1) It seems that every project he has worked on customers have received thier items or a refund.
2) He is working alone on these, so it most likely taking more time than he expected, but he doesn't have anyone else to wait on or to complicate the process like it seems he has in the past.
3) To my knowledge everyone who ordered in the first round got theirs...he only opened up the second round to us because we badgered the hell out of the poor guy, so I think these are taking quite a while for him to finish.
4) Joe is VERY active member of the MOTU community, even though he doesn;t seem to visit the.org very often, he has a lot of relationships with many of the old-timers around here...(NOT me) so I think this is getting back to him. (plus I have e-mailed him several times now looking for a status, and he hasn't responded, but with so many ppl send e-mails he must know)
I think everything will be fine, but at the risk of sounding like a grumpy parrot, he needs to post a status on his blog or twitter page.

I just hope that he ships them out as he finishes... not in lots of 10 or whatever.
I will say that the whole Fisto sword thing was a bit drawn out, and the mods here were integral to working out a way for people to get the finished product.
BUT, I know Joe and he has a good heart - His products are wonderful. I don't mind the wait, I just want frequent updates. He's been good so far about contact.

I was one of the ones that ordered, AND RECEIVED the Fisto sword, took a while, I didn't badger the guy but I remember people calling for his blood and the issues surrounding the sword. I think he bites off more than he can chew to a degree but he isn't a scammer. I suffer from this too but I make a promise that takes me longer than I hoped it would to keep - but I still keep it.
I wanted to order this but I missed out and with my experience with him I also knew I wouldn't get it in the time frame given (if there was one) but I know it will come or at least a refund will be issued
