I was thinking the same. Need one that is low, slow moving, and stable.

you can't get any more slow moving than manual. i'm going to go to lowes/ other hardware store with the dimensions and go to the counter/kitchen area to see if they can help.

I am sure a place like Bed, Bath, and Beyond will have something.

but that is just for the tray and not the "turn table" if i'm reading it correctly.

    searching lowes....

the metal turn table runs $10 for 12' and the tray $10 and up in relation to size.

one review says it's used for their 100 lbs plasma tv. so i'm sure if you find a large enough tray for cg to sit on then this will work just fine.

well according to the review, if the 12" can rotate a 100 lb tv that will be just right, cg won't weigh near that so it will turn with ease. in fact, you may be able to purchase an even smaller one.

for your tray you will either need one just large enough circumference for the castles area or if you want to have surface to pose figs on it will need to be larger.

so the question is a) what's the area of the castle and b) what specific purpose will the tray serve?

I was trying to figure out the math for this myself. It seems like it's at least 20 inches from end to end when closed, so it'll have to at least that large of a square. But you'll probably want larger than that so you can set up a battle scene around and in it. You're going to have to build a big honkin' piece of furniture to display ir right.

I've been thinking about this too. I want to find/buy/build a piece upon which to display my Castle Grayskull on a Lazy Susan or something, and I haven't sat down and figured the dimensions we'll need to allow for. Having the castle opened will make it quite large indeed. I wonder if Scooter or the Horsemen could get the measurements of that piece of furinture they had for us.

Anyone here a handy-type who could figure this stuff out?
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

looks like you will need a lazy susan thats about 24 -26in x 24-26 in .... at NYTF, they had a square one which is easier to build than a round one and even at that size you will still have a small overlap depending on where on the peice you place the playset as seen here:

This could be attached to a base board of your own design.

Good thoughts/suggestions guys. Thanks. I'm going to wait until I have the castle in-hand to more accurately determine what I'll need to get. I'd really like to display it on the lazy suzan as I think it's the perfect way to show both the outside and inside of the playset.
