Ya it is annoying. I mean it is not as though we are unaware that clicking on links to other sites will make us leave the .org. I seriously doubt everyone thought the entire internet was part of He-Man.org![]()
Is it really needed? It just makes following links less user-friendly. I do not personally see it as progress, more like annoyance.
How does everyone else feel about it?

Part of the reason we went to it is to loosen the rules on the links. Before, we asked that people read through the entire link to look for vulgarity and other things not allowed by our rules. Once the link was posted, moderators had to then go through and look at the site again to make sure it met the rules. If there was a single cuss word or something else in there, the poster would get a reminder/infraction. Same goes for YouTube links that before had to be embedded.
Now that we have a small warning that you are leaving and that we're not responsible for the content, all that goes away. Unless the site is about pirating, porn, or something else major, then links are now allowed thanks to the warning.
You should see an update to the rules here soon with the details.

Besides, some of you always say new things are annoying/bothersome/a pain/etc when they are first introduced. You'll get used to it. You can handle one extra click of the mouse.

I actually really like it as it helps me decide whether or not I want to proceed to the link.

Oh I fully understand and appreciate why it has been added. But while it may be useful that doesn't stop it also being annoying![]()

I have never seen "bad" link in He-man.org, but it might be due to the rather active moderating.
Personally I am more bothered by the idea of "double checking if I know what I am doing" than actually doing the clicking. HOWEVER, I understand not everyone is an experienced internet user.
If at one point this can be part of account settings, that would be great.
I came to this section to see if this was being discussed because I couldn't find a way to turn it off. +1 to this being a setting.
(The inner angsty teenager in me goes "GRR STOP TREATING ME LIKE A CHILD" but the rational adult exterior goes "golly, that's kind of annoying".)

It's pretty annoying for some users, but some users like it, and the administration seems to think it's important. I think users should have a choice whether they want to see it or not. Something in the User Control Panel that lets you turn the warning on or off would be nice.
If the link will direct you like 5 second I wouldn't mind using it, but have to manually click the link is enough trouble for me!
does that means we could post ebay link other than Marketplace thread?![]()

Is it possible to make a timeout redirection to another site without manually click the link?
