    MOTUC custom Captain Olympic

Surely you guys remember Captain Olympic, the junk salesman from 80's comic books. I always liked this guy and I remember when reading comics how cool he looked and I wished I could see more of him in his own story or something. I used a Mekaneck for the blue base and painted pvc sheeting for the lightning pattern and the 'O' on the chest. The head is a smirking Prince Adam, sculpted with a mask and recast in flesh tone. The jetpack is from some Cars add on pack or something that I happened by at Toys R Us. Funny thing about his belt buckle... I had originally intended to hand paint the buckle but got frustrated so I figured I would photoshop it and paste it on there. But my computer was in the shop so I looked in some comics at the original adds in the hopes I might score something I could work with. As it happens, I found one in an issue of Captain America 270 that was an absolute perfect fit. I didn't even have to trim the buckle any more to make it work, it was just perfect. Couldn't believe it. His crotch piece is a Bow crotch that I sanded the belt off of nice and smooth and cast. Finally, I can produce my own smooth Bow crotch without having to hunt down figures and sand the belts!
Anyhoo here he is for those who havent seen him yet.
