Should I paint my orginal King Grayskull to a bronze version???
Help my out guys
I have a dilema My very first MOTUC was the King Graysull in the Grayskull box.
Now I have a later realese of Grayskull and im thinking about doing a custom of the rare and expensive bronze version. As I think he will look awesome inside Grayskull.
Thing is will I devalue the orignal realease by painting him ? Should I do a custom bronze version or go a differnt route and do him in stone???
Help me out people , im usure.

Buy the cheaper version and paint him

Bronze would look good. Here's a bronze finish I did for a statue inside Castle Destro.
See more pics of my Castle Destro display here... http://insidiouscustoms.blogspot.com...len-tours.html
But I really like the idea of a stone look...pulling it off would be tricky. Either way you go, I hope you share the finished product.

I'm doing a stone version as soon as he arrives. I deliberately bought a crappy loose version especially for it. I can share progress pics with you if you like? I'm making the plinth as well.

Yes, don't ruin the original, sell the original and buy a loose new one on ebay of 1/4 of the price. Then paint the new loose one.

Agree with everyone else. I'd find a 2nd release version. He'd be cheaper, and by nature less valuable.
Also, once you paint it, I doubt there would be much visible damage between v.2 and the rarer v.1
I honestly thought about doing that with my v2... I really hate the 'character' of King grayskull and have little use for him.... but a statue in the castle? yeah... that has potential

Agreed. Don't paint the original version. Value would be lower, and if there are any glitches, it won't sting as bad. Believe me, I have glitches all the time and I have been painting for 18 years.
