Alright guys and gals,
I need to tap into the great collective that is the .org.
The other day I was looking at my MOTUC Scare Glow and thinking to myself. "man, glow in the dark toys are awesome."
So, I want to start a collection of glow in the dark toys!
Now I know there is a huuuuuuuuuge variety of stuff, like figures that came with GITD weapons, paint apps, etc.
At this point, I'd like to start with Figures.
so, do you know of any?
Right now off the top of my head i can think of:
Vintage Scare Glow
Classics Scare Glow
Kenner Night Fighter Robocop
Neca Night Fighter Robocop
and that's about it.
Evil-lyn's staff glows in the dark So does my #1 most wanted non-tranformer item(I.E the yellow sword from the dress up role play set if anyone has it you know the right thing to do) also he-man's sword(I was refering to she-ra's sword before) glows in the dark too.
the glow in the dark hair flair Bratz babyz
clear wstf convoy
Starchild's #1 fan!!
Bratzillaz has a wave of 5 GITD beach dolls. QC is a bit bad though- MGA used the same molds they use for the standard dolls and the plastic cures differently, leaving loose parts. But if you invest in proper doll stands, and maybe glue magnets to their shoes, they stand fine. Just get them on Amazon where that line is usually on sale, they're only $2 cheaper than the deluxe dolls at retail.
MAC made a GITD Lady Death which you can find relatively cheap, since 90s toys aren't worth much.
heerotoysmaker produced a few clear plastic Transformers WSTs which glow- Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and the 4 jets.
Invest in a proper blacklight, they'll illuminate the toys better than letting them charge under a bulb.
fuerza-t have lots of glowing parts.
He-BroI have a custom Nikolas Powers and many figures for sale on eBay, some are even the good ones too.
My Shapeways Store SALE- some cool custom accessories like the Diamond Ray of disappearance, TrapJaw's Attachments, Coridite Crystals, Teleportation Device, Stasis Ray, Horn of Evil, Tytus Hammer, etc...
Bio-glow swamp thing. I have a loose one. Brilliant glow.
Lady Death. I have MOC, wild-looking figure.
Terminator endoskeleton - he doesn't glow very well, frankly.
Glowing predator figure from kenner. I don't have that one; I think I had it back in the 90's.
The same people that made the GITD Lady Death also released a GITD Lady Demon and GITD Cremator. MTV had a glow in the dark radioactive Beavis figure and I'm pretty sure there was an Endoglow Terminator figure that glows in the dark too. **Edit, Phil beat me on that one
I've been on a HUGE Simpsons kick lately, so here is a good one!
There is a Mezco Mumm-Ra that glows, but I think it was some type of exclusive.

I think the Evil Ernie figure also glows. Not sure. I didn't bother with that one.
Terminator got covered in a lot of black paint for some reason, which made it less effective. I think there may have been other 90s indie comic big boob female character toys that glowed- those companies loved getting as much use out of their molds as possible.
There were 5 Ghostbusters that glowed too- since Louis Tully got a bigger role in the sequel and cartoon, he got toys. They go for hideous amounts of cash though. I think the 90s Ghost Rider line relied on it as a line-wide gimmick. Duke "not the guy who took forever" Nukem from Captain Planet also glows. Then again, the Octabrain from the Duke "the guy who did take forever" Nukem Resaurus line had GITD slime.
There's actually some glowing spider-man figures at retail right now. But they really don't look like anything. I haven't touched 'em.
Good call on Ghost Rider
There are GITD Skylanders figures too.
Micronauts Lobros had a glow in the dark brain.
"These are the days of high adventure"
There's an awesome glow-in-the-dark Predator figure in the Kenner line!
I see NightFire RoboCop was also mentioned. There's also NECA's updated version. Both are awesome!
If you like Blind Bag toys, check out the Predasuars: DNA Fusion figures. They are Dinosaurs, and their TEETH are GITD. So cool!
awesome to all! after I posted this I went to the ebays and searched "glow figure"
That gave a good insight to whats out there.
thanks diosoth on the blacklight idea.
I really thought there would be some 90's line with a GITD gimmick, something like Skeleton Warriors...
But I guess not.
So I think to start I'm going to try to grab:
Toy Biz Ghost Rider line
Once I get a decent collection, I'll post pics!
Not exactly a figure, but the Super Turbo Train had some glow in the dark stickers
Giving away three free months of World of Warcraft + copy of game. PM me for details.
Diablo III Battletag = Hordack#1465 WoW - Ghostlands Sever XBL Gamertag = Hordack1980
I remember playing with some glow-in-the-dark legos at my grandparents house when I was little (just the regular bricks) but now I have seen legos, kubriks, megabloks, etc.....
Top Ten MOTUC wants Rio Blast, Sagitar, Lizard Man, Tung Lashor, Mermista, Sssqueeze, Ninjor, Great Black Wizard, Fang-or, Dragstor
If you get a blacklight, you're not just limited to GITD toys as some plastics will illuminate quite bright under blacklight. Unfortunately, it can be hard to determine what does and does not unless you have a blacklight turned on.
There's a Glow-In-The-Dark Undertaker figure from Jakks. It might have been a ToyFare exclusive.
WANTED: Comic From SDCC Vykron!
Mini Comic want list:
Terror Claws Strike
And any and all PoP mini's.
Doubt you would be interested, but there are tons of awesome Japanese vinyl toys that are GID.
My feedback thread:
Super Turbo Train! OMG totally forgot about the awesomeness that was that!
Dude, seriously, you just made my night 1,000,000 times better!
Forgetting a big one here, guys... Glimmer and Sweet Bee from the vintage Princess of Power line both have glow-in-the-dark features.
Also, check out Hasbro's (Kenner's?) Moondreamers line...the hair on every doll glows, as do parts of their outfits, including their shoes!
Remco's monsters glow too, don't they?
Mego (or at least, the repros from EMCEE) Monsters have glowing hands.
I've racked my brain into near head trauma, but that's all I can come up with for now. Good luck!
