    Answers to WTFWTK 2.99!

Mattel has once again provided answers to your questions.
Thanks again to them for taking the time to answer these!
Check out their answers to your Round 99 questions!

This round of questions were selected by The All American.
Thanks to that fan for their help!

    1. Man-E-Beers: If Mattel deems Castle Grayskull a success, and more playsets are given a go, has there been any discussion on making the other two walls for a complete 4-sided castle? It would be a good way to include all the extra sculpted and requested additions that were left out of Castle Grayskull.

At this time we really aren't in a position to discuss any additional playsets or additions to the Castle. The current 2013 Castle is so much work as is, that looking past it isn't something we are in a place to do. But all are great ideas and you never know what the future will bring!

    2. The All American: Will all the figures that need to be released in 2014 and 2015 to finish the vintage lines be sold via subscription only?

That remains to be seen. At this point we can not even confirm a 2014 line until we know we hit the min number of sub holders when it is put on sale at SDCC.

    3. King Tamusk: Will a new Traveling Convention Exclusive for 2014 be shown at your SDCC Mattypalooza presentation this summer?

    Yes.

    4. Loo-Kee: Castaspella will be the last Vintage POP character to be released for 2013 (or is she?). I know this next question might be a little in advance, but knowing you reworked the 2014 sub, how many Vintage POP characters are slotted for the 2014 sub? Thank you!

If 2014 moves forward it will have more POP figures than any previous year.

    5. Super He-Man: Characters like the Widgets and Twiggets are larger than Orko and Kowl, but still smaller than the average figure. I certainly wouldn't want to pay full price per widget, but if you did them with limited articulation, would it bring the cost down enough to get a 2 or 3 pack for the usual single-figure price?

It is possible to execute these characters this way and we'd love to do these characters eventually. Time will tell how and when they are released!

The POP question was very specific written and asked for vintage POP characters but the answer just said POP which is for most people any Horde member or it could be any of the Twiggets and even Sorrowful since those are FILMATION POP character. And don´t get me wrong i like any Horde member but Twiggets before we get more female Great Rebellion members that would upset me.

I know i´m kind of negative here but i´m starting to take those answers very serious…especially when i comes to vintage POP characters.

But don´t get me wrong i would´t mind at least four POP figures even if FILMATION characters are included in this number (for example:
Peekablue, Mermista, Sea Hawk and Madame Razz).
*Peekablue *Toy version Catra *Sagitar *Drissi *Crita *Lizorr *Zilora *Granita *Delora *Battle Armor Queen Marlena *Queen Veena *Calix *Hawke *Pebblass(Minicomic Comet Warrior) *Lady Slither

These are good answers. I'm especially excited to see what the traveling exclusive is going to be and which POP figures are going to be in 2014. I'm hoping for Double Trouble.

I'm super excited about more POP figures next year, they're the whole reason I started collecting this line

There is NO way you're going to see Twiggets coming anytime soon unless they are packed in with Great Rebellion members so I wouldn't concern yourself too much over that.

I'd personally be thrilled beyond belief if we ever get them into the line. They are much more important characters within the Great Rebellion for me than people who only showed up or offered support on a one time or occasional basis.
IT'S TIME FOR MOTUC TO GO GREEN … INCLUDE THE TWIGGETS IN 2015!!!

    Hopefully POP means POP.

Loving that answer about 2014 POP figures I'm thinking at the very least Glimmer has got to be a given for next year...perhaps Angella too! And who knows who else!

    I know i sound like a ungrateful brat….

I should be happy, which i am but the exclusion of Granita and the answer that she more or less is no Comet Warrior since she hash´t been released back in the vintage line made me a bit angry…

I can be a bit emotional…anyhow….i came down and made some research…in 2011 there had been three "official" Princess Of Powers releases:

Bow, Swift Wind and Bubble Power She-Ra.

    BUT

Catra has been released the same year but with a Horde sticker now it´s getting tricky…

Could that mean maybe we get up to five POP characters in 2014!?!

Regarding POP, I hope we'll at least see Glimmer and Angella in 2014. Madame Razz, Kowl or Entrapta would also be welcome!! (I'm not mentioning Sea Hawk since it has been speculated that he is coming with the Filmation sub in 2013)

Mermista and Peekablue would be a nice addition. If not, these two could be saved for 2015...

By the way, are we considering that Scorpia, Imp or Granita are POP? If so, I would be very happy to get more POP than "any previous year" in 2014
20 Most needed characters before MOTUC ends...

Heroic: Lizard Man / King Miro / Hawke / Dakon
    Evil: Evilseed
POP: Angella / King Micah / General Sunder/ Twiggets 3 pack
Horde: Vultak / Hunga / Prahvus
    POG: Veena
    SnakeMen: Tung Lashor / Sssqueeze
    Rock People: Granita
    NA: Darius / Sebrian

    Oh yeah!!

I'd be extremely happy with Glimmer, Angela, and Kowl in 2014. Anybody else would be "icing on the cake."

Don't forget, we might still get another POP character this year in CE.

Cool to have picked the questions, my first real contribution and finest day so far on he-man.org

Would love to see four sides of the Castle! At least we got the question out there and in the minds of Mattel.

Wish Mattel gave me a definite on my question, but I hope subs are an option for the remaining vintage. If anyone loses out on Rokkon and Stonedar this summer, there will be upheaval.

As for the POP answer, 2014 would have to be the most so far anyway, if we're to be done all vintage POP by 2015. This is exciting!

Thank you @The All American, for picking my question. I'm so glad to see so much support for the POP ladies. I personally believe that there has to be 4-5 POP characters. My wish list would be: Glimmer, Angella, Mermista, Flutterina, Sweet Bee and Peekablue. I want all the vintage characters including Perfuma and Double Trouble. I think Entrapta would be considered a Horde member. Madame Razz and Broom would probably show up in the FILMATION sub , and I hope my feelings are correct, but I have the feeling her and Sea Hawk will be out in this current filmation sub.

I do hope Kowl and Loo-Kee come in as pack ins like Orko did with Adam .

You're welcome! Before picking, I thought it'd be a cinch, but I debated with everything a good half hour before getting down to five.

As for POP in 2014, bring on the honies (and I don't just mean Sweet-Bee)!

Hey All American, thanks for picking my question on the additional Castle Grayskull walls. I too feel that if we get that idea and thought out there, they may actually consider it. It would be the ultimate to have a complete Castle Grayskull!!!!

At this point in the line 4-5 POP characters in the 2014 sub would be something that would personally make me consider signing up. With the high price point and shipping costs for me that's just too many figures I have little interest in to warrant the sub.

I really don't think we're going to see Entrapta in 2014. They've been establishing a pattern of releasing one female Horde member a year, and Scott has previously said that Scorpia would be coming in 2014 - my money is on her still coming in 2014. That would leave Entrapta coming in 2015, which is what my guesses are pointing to for her release.

    2. The All American: Will all the figures that need to be released in 2014 and 2015 to finish the vintage lines be sold via subscription only?

That remains to be seen. At this point we can not even confirm a 2014 line until we know we hit the min number of sub holders when it is put on sale at SDCC.

Well this is good. At least they are giving us the option of subbing. For awhile Scott seemed like they may not even offer another Sub. My fears are momentarily at rest.

The more POP is a reason that I may not sub up next year... first time that I won't since its inception. I am running out of space, and I was considering not subbing anyway... this helps that decision for me. Stoked for all PoP fans tho... u guys need more love!!!

Why is everyone convinced we won't see Kowl this year??

More POP is actually something that the customer base seems to want (at least according to the Org's major annual poll that was conducted not too long ago)... more POP and more Filmation... and even more NA.

I am excited to see 4H versions of Double Trouble, Sweet Bee, Entrapta, Mermista, and Pefuma. I think the POP fans, and any fans of the MOTU brand in general who love it all (like I), deserve this. We've been supportive of this line the whole time

I'll make up for your purchase by buying an extra sub
