Gargoyles Season 2 V2 - When will it be released?

Does anyone have any idea when Gargoyles S2 V2 would be released?

This has to be one of the best animated shows ever made

It hasn't been announced yet, and last I heard, its release was hinging on sales of S2V1, meaning if V1 doesn't sell well enough, V2 isn't happening.

I've only seen the second season set once at Wal-Mart and I bought it that very same day, since then I haven't seen another copy in my area. If they're expecting people to buy the set, then they better ship out more copies.

Yes, as stated above Greg Weisman (Executive producer & series creator) has stated that S2V1 hasn't been selling as well as hoped, and if sales didn't pick up, the S2V2 set would not be released. I've only seen Best Buy & Wal-Mart carry it. I know Target & K-Mart do NOT, and I haven't checked TRU or Circuit City. Go buy S2V1 if you haven't already, just so we can get V2! After that I don't really care. Season 3 (The Goliath Chronicles) is really bad, so I won't be upset if it doesn't see release.....

Yeah, I just want the second half of 2nd Season released, so when I start reading the new Gargoyles comic book from Greg Weisman that's coming out, I won't be confused, since it's going to be what he would have done for Season 3 - which I never saw.

No plans for more Gargoyles DVD's?

    From Toonzone

    http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=11250

due to low sales S2, Vol 2 may not be released .. it's really important for fans to buy the DVD's and the Comic and for others to spread the word to..

    Letters may also help

that really stinks! i just got a job, so i'm finally able to afford this. i wish big corporations would realize that when you set out to release a tv show on dvd, people are going to expect the entire show. the least they could do is offer the last set as one of their exclusive online products

That stinks! I actually prefer the latter Gargoyles eps to the first season too--when Oberon and Titania came into play.

Want Season 2 vol 2 of Disney's Gargoyles?

Then get people to buy Season 2.1!

Greg Weisman wrote this on his Q&A forum "Ask Greg" from his talk at the annual Gargoyles "The Gathering" convention last weekend:

Then it was my turn. I talked about the comic, G2007 and the DVDs. At this time, Buena Vista Home Entertainment has not scheduled Gargoyles Season Two, Volume Two for release. The short and simple truth is that Volume 1 did not sell enough copies. The ONLY remedy is to find a way to sell more. As always, I'd love it if the fans bought copies, but I'd NEVER ask anyone to spend money they don't have or need for things like food/shelter/education/etc. Frankly, as I've said many times, if every single hardcore fan bought ten copies our sales would still be mediocre. What I need from the hardcore fan is for each and everyone to find creative ways to SPREAD THE WORD!!! (Sense a theme, yet?) We did a more effective job of this on the Season One set. Now Season Two costs more, I know. But that only means we need to reach out to even MORE people, to compensate for those who bought Season One, but can't afford S2V1. Only a percentage of those who know about the DVD will buy it. But the more people who know, the greater the chance that we'll reach the sales threshold that Disney feels we need to convince them to release S2V2. Now... a lot of people have asked why Disney isn't promoting the DVD. But ultimately the answer doesn't matter too much. They aren't. That's not money they're prepared to spend. So we need to do it. We need to SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Gargoyles S2V2 DVD news: kinda hopeful?

    http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=6182

Please go buy S2V1 if you haven't already. With the 1st issue of the comic selling out, and getting a 2nd printing, the interest is definitely there. Let's get the next DVD set released!

I'm sure very few of us will be upset if "The Goliath Chronicles" doesn't get released.....

I could mention it next time I update my website. I get close to 1000 visitors.... over a six month period.

Why can't they just release the friggin' thing? How much are they possibly going to lose on it?

Not 100% positive, but I think the publisher's website said August. So not too long to wait. I just want issue #2 already!

Are they printing ads for the DVD in the comic. Like the inside cover. I used to lend my comics out. That would get the word out. Kinda.

There was just a one-page summary of the creation of the show, its downfall, the annual convention, the DVDs, and the new comic from Greg Weisman at the end of issue #1. No actual print ads for the DVDs in the book.....

I would be, as I never got to see those (caught a couple on Disney Channel once, but that's it). My local channel showed some mindless pap to rot little children's brains along the lines of "Kids Incorporated."

I really hope the rest of this incredible series is released.

Well, that's just it, really. The 3rd season "The Goliath Chronicles" was so terrible in comparison to the 2 previous seasons, as many original creators/staff left to pursue other interests, leaving the franchise in subpar hands. You honestly aren't missing anything by not having seen it, but I have my times where I want to be a completist, even when I know it's not worth it to do so.....

Gargoyles Season 2, Volume 2 DVD?

I want to know is Disney/Buena Vista going to release the rest of Gargoyles Season 2, Volume 2 on DVD containing the final 26 episodes of Monters-Hunter's Moon Part 3 along with special features that I want to get, so that I can complete the entire series of Gargoyles on DVD with Season 1, Season 2, Volume 1 and Season 2, Volume 2. Please remember to spread the word to all Gargoyles fans about the Gargoyles comics and Gargoyles DVD's to get all Gargoyles fans to buy Gargoyles comics and Gargoyles Season 1 and Season 2, Volume 1 on DVD everywhere at online retailers to increase sales to get Season 2, Volume 2 released. At the opening ceremonies at the Gathering of The Gargoyles 2007, did Greg Weisman say the sales for Gargoyles Season 1 and Season 2, Volume 1 sold well on DVD to warrant them to release Season 2, Volume 2 on DVD to complete the entire series of Gargoyles on DVD? Did Disney/Buena Vista announce the DVD release of Gargoyles Season 2, Volume 2 on DVD yet? Thank you.

i doubt anything has changed. this interview was done a few months ago and according to greg weisman, the status of gargoyles s2v2 is the same it's always been. it seems the best course of action is to buy the dvds (if you haven't already), and spread the word/pray for a miracle (if you already own them).

You know, a reason why s2 v1 may not of sold in the first place may be because of how it was released. If perhaps the whole season was released in one go, then sales could of been better.

This is the exact reason why I didn't buy it when it was first released and the reason why I'm hesitant to buy it now. I don't want half a season.
