Nice! I like that it's both gritty AND colorful!
Eternian diorama pieces mainly inspired by FILMATION background art.

But here I will post some other pieces for bigger Eternian diorama...here is the first one:
Thanks e-man. The colors and plants are inspired by Filmation designs.

WOW! Well done all around! I love the plants and how they look like marine plantlife. Very nice touch with how they're blowing in the wind.

Alexx has a blog?! Come on in and check out Toys and Tomfoolery! You won't regret it...until the next morning.
I'd love to get a materials list on what you used for these. I'm looking at doing some dioramas myself.
Gwildor: Moo? Moo.
Gwildor: I'm going, I'm going...Moo!
Gauze is fixed to the styrofoam elements and also covered with liquid white glue for wood.
Then painted using acrylic spray and with dry brush using acrylic colors...
For flocking I just cut pieces from two different green and one brown old sweaters then I used the same wood glue to cover parts of the base and then cover it with flock.
The pink plants were made from tracing paper painted with acrylics form both sides...
I also used:
acrylic yarn also covered with liquid white glue for wood and then painted...
I hope this helps.
Yeah, I still love your work! NICE!

...and you can find most of those plants on some of these amazing pictures:
these are just amazing.
I'm only coming to this thread now, but it's so inspiring I had to comment.
I can't believe you managed to make the stilts reasonable for their environment, that's amazing. Good job!
You've given me a deeper appreciation for the MotU backgrounds. Thank you.

Homebrew RPGs based on 80s toy properties I take too seriously:

Very nicely done, you capture that very well!
Yeah, these are really awesome. As others have said the grit and colorfulness is perfectly balanced. The straight cartoony vibe wouldn't mesh well with the vintage figures (imo), but with this level of grit and detail, coupled with the familiar settings, these just pretty much seem perfect to my eye.
Very nice work man.
